Alright, y'all, here's the plan: you're not quite aware of what Toji does for work, yet you keep quiet. But one night, the man comes home bleeding, and you can't keep your worries to yourself anymore. However, for your protection, Toji isn't ready to reveal his assassin business to you. And, in the heat of the moment, ends up saying something that hurts you instead...

A/n: (Reuploaded bc I forgot smthn) This prompt was picked from a poll to celebrate the 300+ followers milestone (pssst tysm for 450+ you lovelies :D) two weeks back. Truthfully, I don't think this is my best work after proofreading, but I did my best. Probably bc 1) it's longer than I intended, and 2) I procrastinated waaaaay too much with this. I don't even think I made sense halfway through, lol, but fuck it, we ball. Anyways, like last time, there is art drawn by me (@hoshigaby) but it'll be found deep in the fic :33
I hope you enjoy the ride and reblogs + replies are much appreciated!! Also, don't be alarmed that Y/n in the drawing looks of a dark complexion, feel free to use your imagination if it doesn't suit you. But do not edit it; be an adult and ignore it if it's not your taste.
Cw: Toji x fem!reader - arguing/yelling - fingering (fem! receiving) - mating press - Daddy kink - first Toji is sour, then he's sweet bc he's whipped for you :) - clitoral play (pressing down and a pinch) - praise - breast fondling + nipple play - pet names (angel, baby, darlin', honey, kid, mama/ma, princess, sweetheart/sweetie) - Megumi mean-mugging his father while Tsumiki and Shiu Kong tell him to do better lol - mentions of blood and stab wound; isn't fully healed so reopens.

"Uhh, are you sleeping on the couch?"
"Yes. Yes, I am."
"...Why??"
You scrunch your brow at your phone, looking at the two people you're talking to through the screen. "I know you're not about to get on my case over where I'm sleeping."
On the L-shaped couch lay you, cuddled up with a fluffy blanket and memory foam pillow, one hand holding your phone while another wrapped around a stuffed plushy. You were on a video call with your best friends: Utahime and Mei Mei.
Utahime, lying on her bed with a face mask, replied to you. "Oh, I'm definitely getting on your case because it's supposed to be the other way around!"
"True, but I like the couch anyways." You puff at the woman who's not satisfied with your answer. "Plus, I'm on the L-part of the couch, so it's practically like a bed!"
Your other friend, Mei Mei, chuckles at her screen. Icy blue hair pulled up in a bun with reading glasses positioned atop her forehead, probably counting her tips on her desk like she always does before bed. "My my, this is the fourth night this week. What did your man say to make you this upset?"
Memories of what happened before come back to you, and so does the exhausting irritation you've been trying to keep at bay.
It was a quiet night like this one as the rain fell hard on the silent streets. You've just put Tsumiki and Megumi to sleep and waited in the living room, watching a movie to pass the time. It was pretty late into the night when you heard the door open as drowsiness settled in. Nevertheless, you got up to greet the man you'd been waiting for coming from the entrance, but you weren't prepared for the sight that instantly woke you up.
Toji Fushiguro, groaning and leaning against the wall with his black jean jacket drenched from the rain. A hand was clenched on the left side of his torso, deep red tarnishing his plain white shirt. He was heaving in an attempt to even his breathing, but when he caught a glimpse of you standing before him, he was quick to try and play it off with a worn-out grin. "Hey, baby." His familiar deep voice was strained in subtle agony.
Worry bubbles within, and you rush towards him. "Oh my God, Toji, what happened!?" You remind yourself to not be too loud as the children are still asleep, so you rely on whisper yellings while walking him up to your shared bedroom.
Even in the room, Toji doesn't explain himself. Just silent hushes and cajoles that he's alright. "I'm fine, honey. Just tell me where's the first aid box." Pointing at the bathroom cabinet, you watch him leave your side to grab the kit. The crimson spilling from him is caused by a stab wound he reveals when he sits on the bathtub, lifting his shirt. You can feel your eyes water, imagining the pain he's going through when he hisses from putting on rubbing alcohol on the gash.
The words you want to say feel so forbidden. Your fingers fidget amongst themselves with the irregular beat of your chest. Don't say it, Y/n. Keep your mouth shut. Don't—
"Is this from work?"
Green eyes shoot back in your direction, and you immediately feel yourself sinking into a pool of regret.
Talk of Toji's occupation wasn't something you brought up much. Even at the beginning of your relationship, he didn't indulge in any insights about what he does, so you eventually quit after a few failed attempts. However, with all the nights he's come home while you sleep or the new scars you point out yet are brushed off, your anxiousness for him keeps festering. And seeing him with his own blood on his hands made you wonder how many nights he has pulled off doing such without your knowledge.
Toji's eyes go back to his wound. "Don't worry 'bout it." The stern tone of his voice has your blood turn cold. He didn't want to entertain this, especially in the wee hours of the night.
And yet you still persist. "No, Toji, I'm serious." You can see him glare at you through the raven bangs shading his forehead. A warning. But it doesn't stop you. "I'm getting worried about you."
From there was when the argument came. Every point you've made to him was shut down at once. His cold responses pierced you. Usually, you'd do what you can to avoid this type of confrontation. But now, it hurts even more when he doesn't cooperate with you, your concerns disregarded like rubbish.
"Damn it, Y/n!" Toji barks at you, seething through the physical pain as a fist bangs hard on the bathroom cabinet. "Why's it so hard for you to stay out of this?"
"Well, if you would tell me things instead of pushing me out the way, then maybe I wouldn't have to!" At this point, you're fighting the tears from falling. Your face hot with frustration, but you still speak. "Toji, I've done so much for you and the kids, and I—"
"No one told you to do—"
"Yet I STILL do!" It's your turn to yell. "I care about you deeply, same with Tsumiki and Megumi. I don't ask for much, Toji. But I want you to open your life to me just a little, even when you're hurt like this!"
His emerald eyes remain rigid despite your pleas to him. And what he said next had you still to the core. You can recall the beat of your heart corrupting your senses while the tears stride down.
"If you were goin' to be a thorn on my side like this, I wouldn't have let you be in it in the first place."
"He said WHAT!!??" Utahime shrieks after you retell the situation to your friends.
You nod your head. "I just looked at him, and he looked at me. Then I turned, picked my pillow up, and headed downstairs to this couch."
To say the dark-haired woman was livid was an understatement. "And tell me WHY this fucker isn't the one sleeping on this couch, again??"
"Even if I did tell him to sleep on the couch, he probably would say something like, 'Tch, why should I? I pay bills for this damn house,' and yadda, yadda." This is true, apart from the man being injured, so having him move would've been immoral. "Plus, I just really wanted to get outta the room, so I went ahead and moved myself out."
"So? You pay bills too, what the hell!? Good God, Y/n," Utahime shakes her head. "You sure we can't pummel this dude?"
"Yes, I'm sure. Besides, I'm getting used to ignoring him when I see him around the house. But, oh my God, guys, his kids," the phone panned down to the plush toy and the pink, fluffy blanket. "Miki saw me sleeping here the other morning and gave me this blanket. And Gumi — he's such a sweetie. He gave me his favorite froggy toy to sleep with to scare off his dad from 'bothering me in my dreams.' "
"Hmm, how adorable." Mei Mei comments. "Funny how such darlings can come from a guy like that."
Utahime nods rapidly and throws in her opinion. "Listen, Y/n, you shouldn't think you outta be in every part of that man's life. Even so, he should at least know how to compromise. I mean, come on, you take care of him, the kids, the house, and go to work with us. All of that just for you to sleep on a couch!?"
"You're not gonna let this couch thing go, aren't you?" The pale blue-haired woman chuckles again, and Utahime sighs. "But she's right, Y/n. It takes a certain kind of person to have the patience to do what you do in a relationship with a single father and two children. I'm sure Utahime would've left with all her hair out."
The dark-haired one gets up from her bed and takes her device with her, heading to the bathroom to finish her skin care. "Now, why am I the one used as an example?"
"Because you're the most vocal about a relationship that isn't yours." A sly smile is painted on Mei Mei's face after she hears a 'hmph!' from the other as Utahime removes the mask and washes her face. "My point is that you like this man — love him even. But that love shouldn't cost you to be so emotionally drained. Perhaps he understands this, except it wasn't the perfect moment for you two to express yourselves. Maybe talk to him when you two stop the silent treatment."
All you do is hum aimlessly, too wrapped in what your friend said to give a proper response. Then you yawn, your body signaling you to finally rest. "I'll sleep on that thought. Night, girlies~~" You wave and send kisses to the other two. They do the same as you leave the video call, placing the phone on the coffee table and snuggling up with the blanket and plush toy.
You try to distract yourself by thinking of what you'll do tomorrow. You gotta get up and make breakfast for Tsumiki and Megumi before waking them up, then head to the station and take the bus to work. Maybe you can finally try that new café close by with Mei Mei and Utahime for lunch. And when you return home, you should whip up something fun for the kids to eat.
Perhaps, make something for Toji since he sometimes forgets to feed himself when you're not around. Or if he's leaving for work, wish him a safe trip back home like always. And...if he's down for it...you can find the right time......to talk...about......
⋆⁺。˚⋆˙‧₊✩₊‧˙⋆˚。⁺⋆
The moment you closed your eyes, it felt as though you were sleeping on your own bed again. When you turn to your side, your body descends into the feeling of cold sheets beneath you. It was pretty comfy! Plus, the blanket—
Wait...Sheets?
Your eyes slowly open to the sight of bedsheets underneath you. Navigating out of the sleepy stupor, you make out parts of your surroundings to know that you're not in the living room anymore. You slowly rise up to face the door of the bedroom. Your shared bedroom.
A sudden cough alerts you, forced as if to grab your attention. A chill crawls up your spine. Oh God, no. You turn to the side to see the man accompanying his side of the bed. And there he was, Toji, lying on his side with his head resting on a hand, looking dead at you. His raven hair looked damp from a recent shower, sporting only a grey wifebeater and dark sweatpants.
"Hey," is all he says to you. No smirk and no nickname followed with the greeting. Just a simple address to you with his green eyes softly watching yours. You almost fall into their inviting spell the more you look at them.
Nonetheless, it's not compelling enough since you remember he's the man you fought with four days ago — the same man you weren't prepared to see right now. You quickly turn away from him and lift the comforter to exit the room. However, Toji grabbed your wrist before your feet could touch the floor, his grip too strong for you to pull away from him.
You avoid eye contact with him, your back facing him. "Toji, let me go. I'm going to sleep."
"Then sleep."
"On the couch, Toji." You try and pull again. Nothing.
"Fuck that, just sleep here. I didn't carry you up here for nothin'."
You shake your head as you exhale through your nose. Of course, he carried me here. "Whatever happened to you not wanting me to be a part of your life?"
The words that left your lips surprised you and the grip around your wrist tightens. You didn't mean to say them, but it was the truth because they were his own words. Or did you?
Still facing away from Toji, you're unable to see his reaction. Oh shit, is he angry? Is he going to let me go after that?
"Darlin', please..." His deep voice hushed for only you to hear. "I just really need you with me here. Just for tonight...." His hold lessens, leaving you to decide whether you should stay.
The silence is uncomfortable for both of you — especially for Toji, who has you where he wants you to be, where you're supposed to be. As seconds pass when he doesn't hear from you, the nervousness that used to exist before your relationship rises back into the pit of his stomach. And his soul drops down when you remove your wrist from his hand.
Though, to his surprise, your hand lifts the comforter up while your legs move back on top of the mattress. You lay back down with a sigh, your back still facing Toji. "Did you give Miki back her blanket?"
Toji exhales quietly, situating himself back on his side of the bed. "Yeah, and Megumi with his toy."
You hum, and the silence fills the room once more.
Toji looks at nothing but your figure next to him, watching the rise and fall of your shoulder as you breathe silently, your face nestled comfortably on the pillow. To think it's been half a week since he last saw you in this room is hard to believe.
That night when you left him really stuck with him. The image of your face covered in tears was all he envisioned, the same with you grabbing your pillow and exiting the room. After tending his stab wound, he went down to talk it out. Yet when Toji saw you sleeping soundly on the couch with dried tears painting your pretty face, he didn't dare wake you up and just went to bed.
And it was worse the following days. Not only did he have you avoiding him at every chance, but he had to deal with the judgmental looks of his children. Never in his life has he seen Megumi give him glares that meant business. If looks could kill, Toji would be finished. And Tsumiki, his sweet little girl, now pesters him about being nice to Y/n, saying he should think about their feelings and apologize.
But what about his feelings? Does no one understand that he was just trying to keep you out of business that you didn't need to fret over? He's very aware that his job is not a normal one. It's dangerous, and anyone around him can get hurt or worse. Hence, keeping you away from this part of his life keeps you and his family safe. If not knowing he's an assassin keeps you from harm's way, why change that.
At least...that's what he thought, not what he said.
Even Shiu Kong, his handler, had something to say after telling him what had happened during lunch today. "Wow. I knew you were trash, but I didn't know you were that dumb, too." The man snickers when Toji shoves a middle finger his way. Shiu lights another cigarette after discarding the one he finishes. "Well, how were they supposed to know you were watching out for them? If someone you love comes to your front door bloody and sick, whose safety are you worrying about?"
Toji says nothing to that, letting the other man resume speaking some sense into him after taking a long sig from his cigarette.
"Look. I can't promise that this angel of yours wants to stay with you after what you said. That's all up to them. But until they decide that, I hope your dumbass realizes when someone sticks with you literally through blood and pain, that's someone who cares for you to the Moon and back. Not saying you should tell them what you do, but a nice word or two of comfort is all they need. If you're not that big of an idiot, reconcile and let them know you care about them."
"...Reconcile and let them know you care about them..."
If there's one thing that Toji has trouble with, it's knowing how to use his words. It was a tiny problem in the earlier stages of your relationship, but as time flew, you could guess how much the tall man cherishes you by his actions rather than words.
The older man knows that you know he loves you. But now, when he's pushed into a position where words are necessary to portray his real feelings for you, he feels stumped.
"If you were goin' to be a thorn on my side like this, I wouldn't have let you be in it in the first place."
Toji grimaces at his own words replaying in his head. Why the fuck did I say that?
"Whatever happened to you not wanting me to be a part of your life?"
Your words ring in his mind. Why did I fuckin' say that for? What the hell is wrong with me? What did—
"Toji?"
He returns to reality, eyes moving back to your still silhouette.
"I know you're still awake, so I'm gonna ask this." Toji braces himself for whatever your soft voice muttered. "Whatever job you're doing, is it a dangerous one?"
Shit. The dreaded talk is here, and Toji cannot escape it.
"Yeah."
"Are you good at your job?"
"It's the only thing I'm good at."
You nod your head aimlessly to his answer. Then you turn around to face the anxious older man. The moonlight peaking through the window blinds illuminates your face beautifully while Toji's breathing slows.
"I don't think that's true," you continue to answer. "You're good at being a father to Tsumiki and Megumi. Not the best, but a decent one nonetheless. You're also good at caring for me; letting me live with you and your family proves that. And lastly," Toji gulps with a dry throat.
"You're good at loving. You say you're lousy at it, but there's love in everything you do for me. It's there when you look at me whenever you think I'm unaware. Or when you silently grab my hand when in crowded areas. Or," a small chuckle exits from you. "When you carry me up from downstairs to the bedroom."
Toji's jade eyes lock in with yours, waiting for you to avert your gaze away from him. But you don't. You keep looking at him. You keep spoiling him. This type of recognition is something Toji never thought he deserved, so you giving it to him so effortlessly makes his growing guilt eat him alive.
"I care about you so much, Toji." You shift closer to Toji and bring a hand to his cheek, causing the man to lift his brows. Your face is only a few inches away from his. "What happened yesterday really scared me. All I could think about was the wound and all the scars you have. Where they all came from and how deep they are. Or......you never coming back."
"Baby..." Toji absently refers to you with a sweet name, placing his big hand on top of yours on his cheek. He lets you finish.
"I know you can't guarantee coming back to me unscathed, but I just want you to promise me something: please let me know you'll be okay. When you're gone, I can only hope you make it back home safely. So, just promise to not get yourself killed." A sheepish smile is used to ease the serious tone. "Even if I'm not in your life, I'm sure Tsumiki and Megumi would be pretty upset to not have you around."
Toji scoffs. "Trust me, I'm sure they'd leave me the moment you step out the door." That makes you laugh, and it has the man swooning hearing it. His hand moves to your cheek, and you allow him to stroke it with a thumb. "And I wouldn't blame 'em. Havin' such a beautiful and loving angel slip through my fingers?"
"Toji..."
"I'm sorry for what I said and scarin' you like that. If you aren't here with me, as part of my life and all, then I don't think I can't make a promise like that. You're too good fr' me, and I'm sorry if I didn't seem to appreciate you until now."
And you know he's genuine with his plea, his green eyes gauging your reaction to see if he's worth another chance. All you do is sigh and lift yourself up, wipe his wet bangs from his forehead, and kiss it. "Not the best apology, but I accept it."
He drones, relishing the feeling of your lips on him again. "So, are we cool, kid?"
"Yeah," you peer down at him with a smile, and he does the same. "We're cool. However, if you ever yell at me again, don't be surprised when I pack my bags."
"Oh yeah?" Toji raises a brow. "I'll be careful, then."
"You better." Hushed chuckles are shared to comfort the silence, enjoying the closeness between you two that felt like forever to have again. Just the two of you with you giggling above him and the light from the window cascading an ethereal glow to your features. Your teeth shied behind pretty lips, lips he wanted to kiss.
And you catch him looking. You notice him wanting you, needing you. Just as much as you need him. You slowly lean down to his face, planting your soft lips on his rigid pair.
Toji's surprised by the action for a moment, but he moans into your mouth and pulls you into him closer. The kiss starts off nice and slow yet quickly changes to one filled with passion and desire. Teeth clashing, tongues exchanging, sweet moans paired with aroused groans.
As you two are lost in each other's lips, Toji carefully maneuvers you on your back with him on top of you. Your legs find purchase around his waist as he rocks into your core, rocking your hips together in a steady rhythm by the second.
His hand snakes down to your lower region, fingers brushing past your pajamas and onto your panty-covered vulva. The intrusion has you breaking the kiss with heavy breaths filling the silent, moonlit room. He busses your chin down to your neck as shaky mewls slip out your mouth.
"Haaah, Toji, we shouldn't. It's late—Hmmm..." Your whimpers don't stop him from pulling your pajamas and undergarments off.
"It's okay, sweetheart, lemme make it up to you." He says in-between kisses on your clavicle, pulling up your shirt to reveal your bare chest. His free hand fondles a breast before his mouth goes for the other. "Let Daddy take care of you..."
Tumblr media
The sudden combination of his thick fingers intruding between your nether folds and his mouth sucking and licking your sensitive nipple has you whining in bliss, your hand gripping his wet raven hair resulting in a satisfied groan from the older man. Toji missed this — missed you — close to him, under him on this bed.
One finger plays with your wet chasm for a few moments before it's inserted inside. A shriek is let out as your cunt adjusts to the digit. "Mmmph! Oh God, Daddy, your fingers...Ahhh!"
A soft 'pop' leaves from Toji's mouth when pulled back from sucking on your nipple, his tongue lapping around the sensitive nob. "What's that, mama? My fingers feelin' good?" You nod rapidly, but that's not the answer Toji's looking for, so he bites on your nipple gingerly yet hard enough for you to jolt. "Daddy wants your words, angel."
"Yesss, yes, your fingers feel soo good," You mewl to him, and Toji chuckles dangerously low while rewarding you with another digit in your slick-coated hole. His abrupt middle finger joins his forefinger in attacking your velvety walls, and your voice shifts higher in ecstasy.
The sounds of Toji's tongue licking around your nipple coincide with the squelches between his fingers and your gushy slit. Your brain starts to short-circuit.
"Ahh! Ahhh! Daddy, I can feel—I'm gonna," Toji's fingers pick up the pace. You're so close to release, you can feel it.
"Gonna be good and cum on Daddy's fingers, right, baby?"
"Mhmmm, I wanna co—Oh, Jesus, I wanna come. Hoooooh..."
"Then go ahead, princess. Mess 'em up." Toji comes up to kiss your forehead as his fingers go irrationally fast, and a thumb sneaks to press down on your unattended clit. With a choked cry, you spasm and cream on his thick digits. He watches you finish, loving the image of your head pushed back on pillows and your body arching towards him.
He dismisses himself from you once you're done, licking his fingers of your essence and taking off his wifebeater and pants. The image of his free cock has you biting your lower lip in anticipation as you discard your shirt to the bedroom floor as well. When you look at Toji, you notice the bandaged patch on his left side. He sees you glimpsing, quick to ease your concerns. "I'll be fine, darlin'. Won't go too crazy." Looking at his scarred body in a new light, you nod and follow his lead.
Toji carries your legs up to move to the right of his shoulder, situating you two into a mating press. His dick aligns with your glossy cunt. Precum meets slick and lubricates the two sexes pushing into each other. Toji coaxes you. "Too tense, ma. Relax fr' me." You prepare yourself with even breaths, and the man pushes into you with each exhale.
The head of his cock enters, a cry departs from your lips, and Toji hisses with the tightness of your slit. His hips go slow, making sure your walls accommodate every vein and dent of his dick as it ventures deep within you. Hits to your G-spot have you babbling incoherent prayers, gripping the sheets under you.
When his cockhead finally meets your cervix, you sob his name in rapture. Toji smirks, dialing the pace of his thrusts up. "Mmmm, Christ, yr' tight pussy. So fuckin' perfect fr' me."
Every stroke prompts a euphoric moan from you, drool escaping your lips as your mind turns into putty. The noises of his pelvis smacking on your ass feel so wrong to hear, yet you can't help but grip around Toji's girthy length. It gets worse when he presses his entire body weight on you, forcing you to take his cock and abusing your tender cervix with every deep rut.
As for Toji, he's enjoying seeing you writhe and pant under his bow. The corner of your eyes sprinkled with tears, your mouth wailing in euphoric chants, the way your cunt clamps around his dick when he grinds his hips deep onto your come-covered folds. He can never get enough of this, enough of you, driving him so fucking crazy.
"Daddyyy, I'm gonna—Ahhaaaa!!" Toji's now going at an erratic cadence, his cock churning your insides as his heavy balls slapping your folds being the only things you can listen to. Your whines get higher and higher while chasing your climax. "Cu-cumming, I'm gonna cumm—Ohhh!!"
"Hnngh! Oh, shit, fuck, fuck. Me too, kid, me too," Toji groans into your ear. God, his deep voice makes your brain mush. "Oooooh, want me to fill you up, mama?"
Your head nods frantically, tears now staining your face. "Yessss, please, Daddy!! I want it!" Toji hears your pleas and smashes his mouth into yours, moans swapped between lips with tongues daubed in saliva. A hand is moved down to your clit, pinching the spot between Toji's forefinger and thumb. And your pussy tightens around his cock one last time before you peak onto him.
The fluttery spasms of your walls clenching around Toji have him finish in three deep strokes, spurting his seed inside you before he relaxes his heaving body on yours. The kiss breaks with you two huffing and panting, the final moments of your high finally depleting out of your nude bodies.
His green eyes take in your dazed expression, calloused fingers wiping your tears away. "How's that for an apology?"
"You pervy old man," You chuckle to yourself, so out of breath. "You're more of a man of action anyway, so you pulled through. "
"Hehe, I'll take it." He cups your jaw with his big hand, your eyes locked in with his. "I love you so fuckin' much, baby. Sorry for ever making you think otherwise."
You blink once. Twice. Your hands come up to his face, and a finger swipes away black bangs stuck to his sweaty forehead. "I love you too, Toji. I would've left your ass if you weren't."
Toji smiles and leans in to kiss your swollen lips with his scared ones; however, a sharp pain stops him, prompting the big man to yell out. Worried, you try to assess what's wrong. Then you see it: the blood-stained bandage on his left side.
A gasp catches his attention, and Toji turns to what you're gawking at. His body freezes, seeing the trail of blood exit from his reopened wound.
"Ahhhh shit..."

"Well, well, well," Utahime smirks at you through the screen. "I see you're not on the couch anymore."
You smile sheepishly as you lie on the pillows and headboard of your shared bed. Tsumiki and Megumi huddle beside you, napping blissfully around your presence under Tsumiki's pink blanket.
"Yeah, we made up last night." To avoid disturbing the children, you reply in whispers.
Mei Mei hums. "I see that. I assume you two had a nice talk about it?" You open your mouth, but no words come out. The two women quirk up a brow.
"Oh? I take it that there was more than just talking." Utahime chimes in, her smile going ear to ear while your eyes avoid the screen. "No wonder we didn't see you at work today. The dick so good it saved your relationship, huh?" She laughs at you hushing her up for using crude language while the children sleep. "Well, happy you two figured it out. But don't think I won't come over there and beat his ass the next time I see you on that couch."
"I second that," Mei Mei agrees. "But Uta can do the beatdown; I'm more interested in what he has in his wallet."
"Not much, I'll tell you that." you correct your friend. "I'm the one who takes care of his finances for safe-keeping."
"Well, that makes things easier for me."
The three of you laugh through your devices. Then you hear heavy footsteps drawing closer from the stairs. "Oop, he's back now. I'll talk to you guys later!" You hurriedly wave and kiss your friends goodbye before ending the video call. The bedroom door opens, and there he is.
Toji flashes a quick smile at you before it vanishes once he sees his kids nestled around you. "I was hopin' to get some alone time with you."
You giggle as you brush Tsumik's hair away from her pretty face. "You're back early. Is your wound okay now?"
"Hmph, yeah, thanks to you pushin' me out the way and grabbin' for the first aid kit." Toji pokes fun at you for the event from last night, where you immediately pushed the brawny man off of you and ran for the tools necessary to treat his open injury the moment you saw blood. You chuckle and watch the tall man climb into bed. "Doc said it should fully heal within a week or two. Why the squirts here?"
"They were happy to find me back in the room for a nap, so they joined me and kept me company." Megumi snuggles close to you for warmth, and you pick him up to your chest.
"Well, they're takin' my spot."
"I don't think they care."
Toji pinches your nose for your snarky remark, and you wriggle out of his fingers with quiet chuckles. His hand then cups your face and pulls you to face him, his emerald eyes softly gazing into you.
"You know I love the hell outta you, right?" His deep voice sounds sweet to the ears. You purr into his hand. "And I hope you know I'm the same for you." He nods. You smile.
He hesitates for a split second, but Toji leans close to kiss your tender lips. Only for a tiny hand to come smacking him in the face, halting him from further movement. To the shock of you both, Megumi was back awake, sending a mean look at his father.
Toji groans in annoyance. "What was that for, brat?"
"For making Y/n sad." Megumi keeps his hold on you secure as he and Toji mean-mug each other. Queuing Tsumiki from her slumber, defending you from her father. "Apologize or stay away!" The little girl warns the older man.
You're quick to break up the mini-fight amongst the Fushiguros. "Alright, kids, no need to worry about me. Your dad already apologized to me by promising to take us out for dinner tonight." Childish faces beam in delight while Toji shifts to instant puzzlement. "Now go get ready and put on your shoes!" Tsumiki and Megumi do just that, rushing out of your shared room and to their own.
When you can't hear the pitter-patter of little feet anymore, you feel big strong arms haul you into Toji's embrace, attacking you with tickles. You try to squirm your way out, but it's no use when he uses his body to cage you in. "Who told you to make promises on my name, huh? You tryna be bratty with me, kid?" He grins at your ticklish suffering.
"Then don't you—Oh God, stop!" It's difficult finishing your statement while fighting back laughter and screams. "Don't you ever yell at me again!"
He stops tickling you, thank God. You catch your breath as Toji looks at you under him with a proud smile. "I don't plan on it, sweetie. Now c'mere."
Toji finally has his lips placed on your soft ones, and you happily return the favor by wrapping your arms around his neck to pepper him with delicate kisses. But the romantic atmosphere vanishes when the children come and dogpile on Toji after hearing your ticklish screams, forcing the older Fushiguro off of you to deal with his kids with tickles of their own.
Observing the children laugh and squirm under Toji's merciless fingers, a soft smile adorns your face watching the domestic display before you and thinking how lucky you are to witness such a thing. Well, that's before all three of them turn to you and bring you another ticklish horror.
And despite the torture, your screams and giggles are filled with pure joy and contentment, and you wouldn't have it any other way.

—°+..。゚。゚+.*.。.—
A blaring, aggravating, shrill sound wakes you up. Your hands go to cover your ears, protecting your sanity from the noise ringing somewhere from the tangle of sheets on your bed. Hands flailing around desperately to find the source of the piercing chimes, you writhe around in agony until you finally latch onto your phone.
The brightness of the screen digs into your corneas as you lift up the device to see the caller ID of whoever had the guts to bother you on a school night.
It comes to no surprise that the caller name reads “VERITAS FUCKING RATIO” in all caps with no contact photo. Your eye twitches and the grip on your phone tightens, just a hair away from leaving finger-shaped dents in the metal.
Begrudgingly, you answer the call, tucking the phone next to your ear with nothing less than displeasure. “Veritas. Why are you calling me at—” you pull your phone back to check, “—almost three in the morning?”
“The works cited page,” Veritas Fucking Ratio informs you matter-of-factly. There’s no hint of sleepiness in his voice, nothing that could possibly chip away at his good image, of course. “You did it in the wrong format. It’s supposed to be APA. This is a science project, not a literature project.”
You might kill him. The project in question is to be presented tomorrow— today at ten in the morning. Ratio and you had been working on it for an entire two weeks, broken up into intermittent hour-long sessions because he was adamant that you split up the work instead of rushing to do it all the night before. Stupid self-righteous gorgeous beautiful academic genius-freak. Yeah, it definitely helped you in the long run, but he acted so sanctimonious about it that you refused to admit the benefits.
“Veritas,” you imbue the syllables of his name with poison, as much as you can when you’re swaying as you sit up on your bed and fighting demons to not fall back asleep. “This is such an easily-fixed thing. Do you know what time it is right now? Why are you even awake? You know, I am supposed to get a full seven hours of sleep every night, and I was already cutting it short today, and you woke me up before I could even hit REM sleep. Do you know how upsetting this is? Fix the goddamn works cited yourself!”
For once, Veritas is at a loss for words. The other end of the line is so quiet that you have to double check and make sure he hasn’t just hung up on you. Perspiration builds on your palms, thinking that this is it—this is the exact moment that you make Veritas-Fucking-Ratio snap and delete your name off the project credit slide, and you’re going to get a 0 because he will wipe off any evidence of your work from this plane of existence, and you will spend the rest of your measly life chasing after your MLA-turned-APA works cited page, too-little-too-late.
“I’m awake because the— well.” He pauses, and his voice sounds so far away and unobtrusive that you’re almost worried. Your breath stills in the middle of your diaphragm. Waiting. “The works cited is one thing. But I wanted you to look at the slides, if you can.”
If you can, he says, as if he’s giving you a choice, which he literally never has during this entire process. You had no role in choosing the topic, or the slide theme, or what days you worked on the project, or how often you worked on the project (because god forbid you procrastinate a little bit, right?!), but now, at almost three in the morning, Veritas is saying something along the lines of oh please my dearest project partner, I request that you open the Google Slides at once, but only if you would like to! I would never infringe on your free will at three in the morning, because I respect you as a partner. Or something like that. That was pretty much the gist of it.
A raspy sigh escapes you, and you claw your busted laptop off the nightstand next to you, opening it up and squinting at the LED screen as you punch in your passcode. “You know, I have done a good job at going along with all of your whims, Veritas, the least you could do is fix the works cited for me. Seriously, how did you even miss that? You’re so detail-oriented, but you didn't even realize the format was wrong until tonight? Who even cares, seriously… it’s just a slideshow…”
Your voice trails off as the slideshow presentation finally loads in. You see Veritas’ default profile picture blink in the upper right-hand corner, signaling that he’s viewing the slideshow with you. The slideshow which has apparently undergone a huge makeover.
It’s—pleasant to look at. This entire time, you and Veritas had been editing a default, white-background black-serif-font-text slideshow. He refused to change it, telling you that it’s unprofessional to do anything too embellished, to which you fruitlessly said, Veritas, we will die early deaths because of the hole in the ozone layer, would you at least make it easier on my poor soul by letting me choose a pokemon-theme slide? Veritas had pretended like he couldn't hear you (in a very quiet library room, mind you), but the twitch in his brow gave him away.
Now, though, the slides are decorated. It’s a really nice theme, complete with custom icons and graphic blobs of color—your favorite color, might you add. It’s—pretty. Dare you say, cute, but you think Veritas would vaporize your entire presentation if you called it cute.
“Did you— this— did you pay for this slide theme?”
“You— n— mn,” he trails off into an unintelligible mash of mumbling, and you hear a loud THUD that sounds awfully like the phone being thrown onto a mattress. Fabric shuffles around, before you hear Veritas’ voice again, clear and composed. “Sorry. I dropped my phone.” What a loser, and a liar, and an endearing freak. You really wish he video called you because you need to see his totally-very-ugly face.
“I thought this was unprofessional, Veritas,” you say teasingly, a smile lining your words as you try not to giggle right into the phone. “What made you have a change of heart?”
“Nothing,” the typical firmness of his voice has returned, much to your dismay. “The works cited is still wrong. You have to fix it.”
“Oh, whatever you say, honored Ratio,” you open up your trusty citation-generator, ready for a long fifteen minutes of copying and pasting information. “Hey, you must be free after class tomorrow, right? Since the project is pretty much over, right?”
“Yes,” Veritas answers after a moment of hesitation, only a hint of doubt in his voice.
“That’s great. Keep your schedule clear, then.”
(You fix the works cited slide, wish Veritas sweet dreams, and then wake up in the morning to completely ace your presentation. The minute the period ends, you drag him out of the classroom and into a coffee shop, paying for some five dollar pastry and joking that it’s payback for the cute slideshow theme that he definitely paid five dollars for. Veritas is an awful liar, and you tell him that, and he can’t even find the strength to deny it.)

somethin' stupid ft. akaashi keiji childhood friends to lovers , angst hurt/comfort to fluff ; 1.6k words note continuation of this ; thank you to the anon who requested this!
"the time is right, your perfume fills my head, the stars get so red and, oh, the night's so blue , and then i go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like 'i love you'"
Tumblr media
his hands are a blur, drumsticks slamming down on the snare and toms with merciless intensity. each beat representing the pulse in his heart, the sound rippling through his earbuds as his arm cried in agony, his muscles burning, but alas, he forbade their relaxation. his phone’s left stray on the ground below him, slick sweat dripping down his face as he pants erratically. each cymbal crash hits sharp, cutting through the air with brutal precision. akaashi and the drums are one, he’s feeding off the sound, driven by it until there's nothing left but the rhythm and his own refusal to stop. what feels like hours pass by, and he doesn’t stray from his seat, that was until one of the sticks snapped in a neat half, flinging through the air before falling to the hard ground with a thump.
“fuck.” he mutters, standing up quickly and he’s immediately confronted by the pain which stemmed from his prior actions which lasted hours. he leans down to grab the broken wood, before his phone blaringly rings. there’s only one person who’d call him at a time this late. he picks up.
“keiijiiii” you coo into the mic, your intoxication obvious through the slurs, “my designated driver left without me,” akaashi could imagine your pout through the screen.
“hm, and what am i supposed to do about that?” he asks tightly, the impatience apparent on his tongue as he finds a stray towel to wipe his moist back and neck.
“come pick me up. please” you whine, and he’s already midway through pulling up black sweatpants. “and don’t text my mom like you did last time!” he slips a thin shirt over his head.
“you vomited all over my car last time,” he mumbles, rolling his shoulders as he grabs an extra towel for you, and his car keys. “where are you? i’ll leave now.” he steps out of his apartment and towards the elevator down to the car park.
“i don’t know.. check find my or something” you reply, still having a whingey tone as he sighs deeply.
“okay, drink some water while you wait.” he slides into the car and checks your location, “i’ll be there in ten.”
“thank you kei, i love you!” you call out before hanging up.
it’s cruel how those words can so easily roll off your tongue, unaware of how they rip him and his heart apart. his canines dig into the flesh of his mouth, sharp pain and metallic taste flourishing throughout. his slender fingers connect his phone to the car right before he accelerates quickly to get to your location promptly.
he hears the party before he sees it, the car approaching the obstreperous house before parking a couple of houses away. he slides out of the car, keys jingling as he walks towards the house, unamused by the immature activities surrounding him. the base was boosted to an invasive amount, and he could feel the music through his bones. as soon as he steps into the house party, a familiar warmth is flung around his waist.
“kei, you said fifteen minutes..” you mumble against his shoulder, clinging onto him as his hand wraps around your waist as well. your breath reeked of lychee soju and the contact made him scrunch up his nose.
“do you feel sick?” he asks, his voice characteristically soft as he leads you out of the house, taking you back to his car. he hums when your head shakes, but he still ensures that you’re comfortable in his passenger seat with a towel draped over your legs.
his gaze can’t help but occasionally flick over you on the way back. he’s driving slower, he’s more careful about the turns that he takes, and if it wasn’t you in his passenger seat, he’d be annoyed by how long it was taking him to drive what should only take ten minutes. you’re illuminated red by the traffic light so he takes a moment to observe you. even if you were nothing, akaashi keiji would still be hopelessly enamoured by you. he was amazed by your soft hair cascading over your closed eyes, and how you strategically applied your make-up to cover any blemishes, but keiji looks past that and admires the beauty you embodied naturally. he wonders if anyone else notices it too.
for the past two weeks he’s tried to distance himself from you, as whenever he saw you, his heart would swell unmeasurably to the point where it ached. he yearns for you, and it’s so cruel how you’ll always just be out of reach for him. he looked over at you and took a deep, grounding breath. this would be the last time he would see you for a while, he decided. his hand reaches to shake you awake once you reach the location of his apartment. you cling onto his side as he helps you out of the car and towards the elevator. how you aerate the air around his neck is quite distracting, and blood paints his cheeks.
it’s almost endearing - watching you stumble through his apartment, searching for the pajamas that you’d usually keep here. he walked into his bedroom and found you wrapped up in his sheets, still smeared in the make up from earlier that night.
“you’ll get bronzer on my sheets,” he mutters, not being able to control the blush which forms on his cheeks when you roll over and look up at him with drunken, exhausted eyes. he takes a cotton pad drenched in micellar water before swiping it against your face.
you gaze into his deep cerulean blue eyes, and you’re breathless. it was no secret that keiji was a gorgeous man (which is why you’d never introduce him to your other friends), but under the dimmed golden light of his bedside lamp, you have never seen someone so beautiful. there was an emotion that ignited within you with every small glance he’d send your way, something so intimate would sprout within your chest, a feeling found nowhere else. you stared into the eyes which didn’t meet yours as his fingers gently brushed against swollen skin. maybe if keiji akaashi wasn’t so dense, he’d realise that you reciprocated the feelings he felt so deeply as well. soon enough, your gaze snaps away from his and towards the ground, where you notice the small, broken twigs of wood on the ground.
“i thought you hated playing the drums now,” you said simply, looking up at him curiously.
“just felt like it,” he murmurs in response, pushing your hair behind your ears, ignoring the concerned look in your eyes, “i’ll sleep on the couch, text me if you need anything. goodnight.” he moves to leave, fingers squishing the damp cotton pad into a ball, but you stop him. your fingers curl around his slender wrist, and your strength is surprising for someone still a bit intoxicated.
“keiji..” the exhaustion was so evident through your tone, and all he wanted to do was wrap his arms around your waist and keep you close forever. “stay with me tonight..” you attempt to tug him towards the bed, but he anchors himself to the ground.
“no, you should rest by yourself.”
“what if i vomit and die like in breaking bad?” he lets out a soft chuckle,
“you’re not gonna die like jane in breaking bad.” he strokes his fingers through your hair.
“okay but what if i do?”
“you won't.”
“you’re not certain of that,” you argue, sitting up on the bed before he nudges you back down.
“fine, i’ll lie down for a bit.” he slides into the opposite side of the bed, surrounded by your warmth. he jolts in surprise when you pull him into your arms, his head resting above your chest, your nose buried in his black hair. he’s so grateful you can’t see him blushing ever so deeply.
“i love you keiji..” you mumble against his scalp. his heart clenches at what seems to be a platonic declaration of affection, but unbeknownst to him, it meant more than he could imagine. you thought he was stupid, how many times would you need to repeat those stupid three words in his ear before he’d stop just humming in response and repeat them right back?
keiji akaashi’s heart pounded within the confines of his chest, he wanted those words to fall off his lips as easily as they did yours, but they couldn’t. his tongue is tied, afraid that the romantic intention behind his words was different from yours, he’s afraid of losing you. but he’s been holding off on his true feelings for so long that he couldn’t deny them anymore, the guilt was catching up to him so quickly.
he looks into your eyes, taken aback by the sight of everything which was you, which was everything to him. the fear of rejection haunted him, but there was something about your intimate presence which grounded him, bringing him right back to reality.
his fingers weave between the silky strands of your hair, lulling you to the brink of sleep before you’re warmed by his soft, devoted words.
“i love you too, more than you know,” he mumbles sweetly against your temple, soaking in the accords of your expensive designer fragrance as you succumb to sleep. for the first time in a while, akaashi keiji fell asleep without pervasive emotions plaguing his mind.

Character: Steve Rogers
Summary: you had a one night stand. Or did you?
As usual, I would appreciate any and all feedback. I’m happy to once more go on this adventure with all of you! Thank you in advance for your comments and for reblogging ❤️
Tumblr media
The tears strike like a flash food. Sudden and stormy and completely overwhelming. The world around you disappears behind the wall of your grief.
When you float into a lull, your swollen eyes taken in the room. You lay in a bed, not your own, none of this is yours. It’s all him. It belongs to him. What about you? Do you belong to him now? Is that what this is? Or is this just about what that part of him inside of you?
You hiccup and sniffle, rubbing your raw nose as your head pulses. A ripple flows up your back from an unexpected touch and you wince. You hug yourself and angle to see behind you.
Steve slides his hand up to your shoulder and squeezes, “honey, can I get you anything?”
You shake your head, the movement aching in your skull, and turn back to the face the room. He sighs and drags his hand down your back. Despite yourself, his touch is soothing.
“You’re tense. That’s not good for the baby,” he says.
“Please, not right now,” you plead.
He’s silent. His fingers continue to rove around your back and walk along the curve of your side. “You’re not excited to be a mom?” He asks.
You close your eyes as your lip poke out.
“I’m excited,” he says. “To be a dad. I’ll be a good dad. And a good husband.”
“Husband?” You his and lean forward so that your almost face down. You just want to stop feeling, to stop thinking, to stop being, and he won’t let you.
“Yeah, we’ll get married. Make sure the kid grows up right. With both parents.”
You laugh sardonically. The sort of brittle laugh that hurts. Nothing’s funny, in fact, it’s far from.
“You don’t even ask me. You just tell me? Yes, Captain, whatever you want.” Your eyes well again, this time in futility.
“I’m doing the right thing. I’m being a good man. I’ve seen this world. Thing’s aren’t what they used to be. Men like me, they don’t exist. They have no sense of tradition,” he says.
Tradition? It’s a particular sort of code word that makes all the flags turn red. You suck in your breath and gather your strength. You sit up shakily and look over at him. You can barely keep your head up.
“I don’t remember. You know that, right? That night is... nothing. It never happened. Not a single second. I woke up and I was blank. I didn’t know it was you, not until you found me, mocked me in that store,” you scoff and your vision rings in agony. “That’s how much it meant and this...” you look down at your stomach. “I guess that’s the consequence.”
You hear his breath, feel him shift. He sits up, his torso naked. He stares forward as you drop your head and cradle it, bending your knees to support your elbows. He clucks and reaches over. He brings his phone over his lap.
“Don’t remember.” He taps on the screen so hard you can hear it.
He angles the screen to you and you reluctantly tilt your head to see. You know before you look. Of course, that’s why he didn’t forget. He has it right there. He recorded it all.
“...you’re so sexyyyyy...” you slur towards the camera. Your voice, your expression, the way you sway, it’s plain to see your drunk beyond sense. “Come on, cap...” you shake your naked tits at him, “you said you could do this all day.”
He snickers from behind the lens and approaches the bed. You turn over and show him your ass. You can see a glisten between your legs. It’s not the first time but you wish it could be the last. His hand enters the frame and he dips his fingers between your folds. You moan and wiggle against him. He pushes inside and you can hear how your cunt clings as he pulls out.
“Stop,” you fling your arm over to shove the phone away. “I can’t watch that--”
“You wanted it. You said you wanted me. That night was... magical.”
“It was—I’m married and we’re strangers.” You insist.
“Was. Were.” He snarls. “I told you I loved you and you said ‘if I weren’t married, Steve Rogers, I could love you too.’ You. You said that.”
“I was drunk out of my mind,” you rub your temples as your stomach starts to churn. “I was stupid and angry. Well, I’m still stupid.”
“No, you were unhappy. Your husband didn’t treat you right. We both know it. Everything that’s happened doesn’t change that,” he says.
“Maybe not but...”
“But what? You don’t have to slave away in some crappy apartment. I have a penthouse. We have a penthouse. It has lots of room and if you want more room for the kids--”
“Kids? Plural?” You exclaim, so loud your ears ring.
“One thing at a time, sure,” he says. “I’m telling you, you don’t have to do all of that with me. All I’m asking is for you. That’s all.”
You look at him, your eyes dry and sleepy, your cheeks parched. “Maybe I want to be on my own,” you murmur.
“That’s not what you told me,” he retorts and looks at his phone again. He drags his thumb over it and puts the screen up again. You see yourself. You watch the worst night of your life.
“You love me, baby?” He asks as you slide up and down his dick.
“Yes, yes, yes!” You grope your chest as you bounce. “I love you, Steve. I love you.”
You cringe and shake your head. His fingers whiten as he grips the phone tighter. You slump, defeated.
“You’re not going back to work. Once they see this, they won’t want you,” he blacks the screen. “But I want you, sweetheart. You and our baby.”

Hi, could you write about charles being domineering and possessive? I love your writing, smut please!
Well this turned out toxic lol, enjoy :** Warnings: charles is controlling and toxic, face slapping, cnc, fingering, oral, video footage, p in v, the plot is needed
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Charles? Yes, my love? You said the business dinner is tomorrow at seven right? Yes, why? Well, - I really wanted to visit my friends. I haven't seen them in a while. -
You two were lying in the bed now, ready to sleep. At least Charles was, your mind was drifting away. You and Charles were dating for some time already. You were losing counts because Charles made sure you celebrate each month of being together. Giving you gifts, inviting you to luxury dinners, beautiful operas and showing you off practically everywhere. Sometimes when you wanted anything more chill, he made sure to make your wish come true. So you were indeed very happy with him. But last months were all about the two of you and you started missing your friends, even though you are a good friend and are always there for them, even if it means only texting and calling each other every second day. -
Baby but I've told you about the dinner soon enough. I know, it's just - I haven't seen them in person for a while. YN, I need you there.
He was right. You indeed knew about this dinner soon enough, yet you was sad you have to cancel on them.
Ok - you said unhappy. In reaction, Charles squeezed you even more then before and held you tightly for the rest of the night.
>>>>>>>>>>
The next day you went to work and thought about the upcoming event. Another business dinner, it wasn't anything fun. All they did was talk business and bad jokes about politics or women. Charles wasn't participating in these, but others were - even if they had their wives right next to them. You've told Charles you don't like to spend your evenings like this but he's told you you are his woman, and he needs you there.
On the way back home, you opened your phone. *4 missed calls from Charles*
You forgot to check your phone the whole day. As you were looking on the screen, you've heard the squeal of the tires. Taking your head up to its direction, you saw the man walking out of his car. It was Charles. Making his way towards you with hard and fast walk. Face expression unreadable.
Where have you been??? At work- Then why you don't take my calls?? I forgot to check my phone!
His tall figure over your own made you feel uneasy. He was cruel with his tone, words and glare. His presence was so domineering you felt small. The twist in your stomach was creeping out so you looked back to the screen of your telephone. You've heard him exhale.
I was scared that something happened to you. No Charles, I just forgot.
He nodded and took you by your hand, leading you to the car.
>>>>>>>>>>
As there were some hours left for you to get ready for the business dinner, you sat comfortable on the couch and messaging your friends. You were smiling at their jokes as you've told them about yours and Charles's plan tonight.
This guy! It's not enough for him to live with you! He needs to have you all the time for himself! We will fight for you YN. We're not giving up. Totally, I will make my fabulous pinna colada leaving him in agony and delight at the same time, he will have a hard time to focus, so you could sneak off and spend time with us!
As you chuckled, you've felt a warm breath on your neck. Charles was hovering over you, he seemed rather unbothered by the fact, he was invading your privacy.
Charles! Who are you texting? My friends as you can see Alright then.
He walked back to the bathroom leaving you alone, in a weird state, but you you decided not to think about that.
You tossed your phone on the couch and went to prepare yourself. You opened your closet searching for the perfect dress today. - red long dress with slit without straps and bare back.
Not these.
You turned around to look at him in confusion.
Why not? Because i don't need any man to look at you like you're a piece of meat.
You were speechless. Is he being real? From when he is acting like this. He always wanted to show you off so others could be jealous of him. You didn't mind this behavior, or when he was making the decision for both of you, but this was getting a little uncomfortable to you. You were still looking at the dress you were holding in your hand and did not wanted to give up on them.
Take the silver one, they are perfect for this occasion. Hmm,….alright…… - you answered Charles and dressed yourself. Yes, they were indeed beautiful as well. Just not your first choice tonight.
>>>>>>>>>>
As you were working on the last details in front of the mirror, Charles appeared behind you. You saw his eyes lingering over you body which made you blush a little.
Your boobs got bigger. What? I said your boobs are bigger. It's not possible, Charles. Unless I'm pregnant which I'm not. You sure about that?
You stopped paying attention to your earrings, leaving them on the counter. You looked at Charles. His intense gaze piercing right through you. It was getting hot in the room.
Of course I'm sure. I wouldn't mind YN. Actually, - I'd be thrilled.
He went closer to you, wrapping his arms around your waist and kissing you on the neck. Leaving wet spots on your skin and hands going a little lower squeezing your abdomen. You moaned a little and put your back to his torso to feel him more. He reacted with a stronger squeeze and biting your neck.
Charles stop-p, I cannot have a hickey - you giggled a little and pressed your butt into his crotch. He stopped kissing your neck and positioned his mouth right next to your ear.
Don't tell me what to do.
Your eyes had a hint of surprise and uneasiness when he straightened his posture and backed off a little. His eyes once again on your body.
You will change. What? The dress. It's too provocative. No Charles, I will not change! Stop with raising your voice. No! I've already changed just for you and I'm not gonna do it again! These are fine.
His eyes darkened, and it appeared he stopped breathing as well for a moment. As you wanted to put your earrings on again, he abruptly went closer to you and took his hand to your neck. Squeezing around your throat.
If you will - again - try to raise your voice at me and disobey me, I will throw you on the desk right here right now and fuck you hard you will struggle taking a seat at the dinner. You want that?
You could feel his breath all over your face it made you shiver. And his grip on your neck got stronger you felt scared. You immediately shook your head.
Good - he nodded and kissed your temple on the side.
>>>>>>>>>>
You didn't talk to Charles the whole ride. You were mad at him for putting such a scene back home. You've decided to talk to him about it when you finally be left alone. He has always listened to you and wanted you to tell him anything what's bothering you. Your happiness was his priority.
You greeted others and found a place to sit around the table. Throughout the whole occasion, Charles held you tightly and kept the greetings short and simple.
The dinner was all the same. Boring stuff to talk about and good food. As you looked up from your plate, your gaze met with this other man. His name was George. He is the youngest one and with so much less experience. Charles was the younger one as well but he had a talent in this, offering him to be on better position even at such a young age. George smiled at you and you smiled back. Feeling a tight squeeze on your thigh, your gaze shot to Charles. He was smiling at you lightly, but it didn't meet his eyes.
After the main meal you took a second drink for you and talked to other women, more of like listened to what they had to say, because you really didn't have anything in common. Run away as fast as you can, a life with a business man will drain you sweetheart. You offered them a polite smile and excused yourself. On the way to the toilets you bumped into someone. You looked up and saw one of the husband of those women.
Oh hello there darling. Good evening Javi. Being alone, just by yourself? No, I just need to use the bathroom.
You felt uncomfortable. Javi was a slime. Charles was probably right to wear a different dress for today's evening. You wanted to say a goodbye to him, but he spoke up again.
You know, my wife and I are together for a long time- -YN!
Charles was now approaching the both of you. Big relief spreading through your body.
I'd like to have YN for myself. Now. Of course Charles, I get it. Totally.
He smiled back at you and went back to the main dining room, leaving you and Charles in the hall.
What were you doing here alone? Nothing, I needed to go to the toilets. Oh really, with Javi? Charles are you for real?
He pressed his body to yours, making you step back to hit the wall behind you. He was mad and you didn't know why.
Stop playing with me YN. I'm not! I'm telling the truth! I'm so sick of sharing you cherie. Sharing me? I'm with you, what do you mean?
He grabbed your arm and tossed you around to on the narrow conference table on the side. You yelped with pain.
Stop playing with me. I'm not! You sure are. As if ti wasn't enough already. You trying to run away from me? WHAT? You don't pay attention to me anymore. Always speaking of your friends of how you want to be with them. Where does that leave me at? C-Charles, that's not true! I live with you, I'm with you, I love you! You do? Of course. Why on earth would you think that I don't?
His face softened a little but his eyes told otherwise.
Alright. But I'm done sharing. With who? Everyone. I hate the fact they have access to you. And flirting with George? I didn't flirt with him. I saw it.
He pulled your dress up and sat you down on the table. You hit the wood below you hard. He grabbed you by the knees and strechted your legs to the sides making you cry his name in pain. He moved his hands to your hips and pulled you closer to his crotch. When you looked back at him, you had never seen a darker look on his face. There was tension, pain and determination. He started to move in such a way that he rammed his erect penis into your clit. The stimulation clouded your mind and you let yourself drift away for a moment of pleasure. The movements were slow, yet hard, in small circles. But it was not enough for you. You started to thrust right at against him but he stopped reciprocating. When you opened your eyes, you could see a cheeky smile. All logic coming back to you with loud exhale.
Charles What YN Stop it, we cannot do it here We are exactly doing it here. No
Making entertainment for other guests in the evening was the last thing on your wish list. You were about to move up and close your legs back together, but before you could do it, a slap landed on your face. Terrified, you looked up, tears welling up in your eyes.
If you wanna apologize to me about flirting with other man, you will take me right here right now so everyone will know for sure who you belong to.
He grabbed the nape of your neck and pounced on your lips harshly. Demanding for you to open your mouth. It was hard to resist, he was much stronger. He had access now to deep throat you leaving you breathless. The sound of others flowed down the corridor where you were and it made you think again. But before it could escalate, he spread your legs open and moved the hem of your panties to the side. Playing with your folds, his index finger running up and down and middle finger teasing your hole. You're always so wet for me. The tension building up in your abdomen was getting uncomfortable and you complained with loud groan. He chuckled and thrusted three fingers in you. Making you gag on your own breath.
Better cherie?
You moaned loud and uncontrollably. You squeezed your walls against him feeling the high approaching. But he teased you, slowing his movements and soothingly pecking your neck.
Charles! Take a proper look on yourself cherie What are you talking about?
He put his hand deep in pocket to pull out his phone. With a couple fast movements, he found what he was looking for. It was you in the bathroom, the day you first tried out your new toy.
You have cameras in our bathroom???? Yes - so I can look at in anytime when I'm at work.
Shame and embarrassment flew through you, an incredible heat filled your body and you wanted to hide. You couldn't believe you were dating someone who had cameras in their own bathroom.
You're mine after all. I have every right to do it.
Before could decide to protest anyway, he started once more to finger you. He went down and licked your clit. Meanwhile his other hand showed you the video of you moaning. It made you so horny you forgot about everything and felt the pleasure building fast. Hearing yourself made you more hot in combination with what Charles was doing with his tongue. Seeing him on his knees for you, degrading you at the same time with the video and pleasing you over the top. You moaned more with each one and when finally, he stopped. Writhing on the spot you cried out.
Pleeasse You liked watching yourself?
He chuckled as he stood up, got rid of his belt, opened his trousers and let him set free. He stroked himself while cupping your breasts.
Yes, definitely bigger. I want to see them. It was hard for you to pull the dress down, but you did eventually. He pinned your nipples. Taking his tip to your hole and shoving himself inside of you making your toes curl. His pace was fast and hard. Taking you by the throat, he fucked you without mercy.
You. - thrust - are. - thrust - mine. Do. - thrust - you. - thrust - un. - thrust - der. - thrust - stand?
He breathed to your ear. You screamed YES, wanting to come already. You felt your pussy throbbing in pain from all the stimulation.
I should have married you. Put a baby inside of you sooner.
You came with his spoken words and rocked on his cock for the rest of your orgasm. Leaving you breathless, you calmed down a little.
I've switched your pills…..

“i slept with ellie.”
there was silence after you spoke. you could hear a pin drop. you couldn’t even detect an emotion on kate’s face, she just stared blankly at you.
“kate,” you whispered, trying to jog her to say something.
“i heard you.”
another silent pause.
“i’m really sorry.”
“are you?” she snapped.
“yes! i know this is really fucked up but–“
“but what? please tell me why you thought now was a good time to say something.”
“i tried,” your voice sounded pathetic, knowing she was right but you still attempted to explain yourself.
“i tried to tell you before and i wanted to tell you as soon as i got home but you were at your parents and i didn’t want to call i wanted to tell you in person and…” everything you said came out in one hurried breath.
“…and, i know it’s useless but i am sorry.”
kate looked down at the ground, her jaw clenched and she just slowly nodded, taking in every word.
“do you regret it?”
“i-“ you really thought your voice would follow through with a sentence but it didn’t.
“you know, i think if you were really sorry, and really regretted it, you would have tried harder to fucking tell me, but you didn’t.”
“kate.”
“no, just stop,” she paused for a moment, collecting her thoughts whilst you just stood there, afraid to speak.
“i think you love her.”
you felt like you’d just been shot.
“what?!”
“why do you seem so shocked? you do, don’t you?”
“no, i…” you sighed, defeated, “she’s my best friend.”
“yeah.” kate’s voice was quiet.

— ellie’s pov —
your flight was leaving soon and you hadn’t said anything to ellie about telling kate. she knew you were going to but the wait was killing her. then again, it wasn’t her relationship so she couldn’t expect you to tell kate. what if you’d changed your mind? what if you wanted to make things work and just forget everything that happened at the weekend? what if you didn’t want to see ellie anymore because it was too awkward?
she was pacing around her bedroom, panicking. she sent you a text to say have a safe flight then immediately muttered “you fucking idiot” to herself and threw her phone at the bed so hard that it bounced off and landed on her guitar amp. the screen cracked and most of it went black. fucking perfect, she thought. just what i need. a stupid broken phone.
her thoughts felt claustrophobic as they shouted at her from every direction. she just wanted to know what you were thinking. how you were feeling. were you feeling as worked up about this as she was? what were you doing right now? why were you still going on this holiday? maybe you didn’t go and any minute now you’d burst through the door.
a little time had passed, about four songs to be exact whilst ellie tried to drown her mind out with angry music. you weren’t bursting through the door and her text only said sent and not delivered. you had to be on that fucking plane. ellie turned the volume up, nearly to the point where her eardrums hurt.
why did you have to make her feel this way? why did you have to be so sweet, and kind, and pretty, and funny, and smart, and loving, and the best person she had ever met. it was actually pissing her off. how fucking dare you be all of those things, then kiss her, fuck her, and leave like it was nothing? it was fucking bullshit.
˚ · • . ° .
— your pov —
you couldn’t get a flight home until two days after you’d made your confession and it was agony. you and kate had broken up that night but had to still share the same hotel room as they were fully booked. however, during the day you did your own thing. which is why you were now sat in some random cafe alone, depressingly sipping on a milkshake.
“boy trouble?” you heard a voice right by you. were they talking to you? you quizzically flicked your eyes from staring down into your drink to look up at this older woman behind the counter. she was giving you a sympathetic smile. did you really look that sad?
“not technically,” you grumbled.
“technically? honey, it’s either a bad situation or it isn’t.” she laughed.
you slurped the end of your drink, the straw making a loud noise.
“i’m having girl trouble.”
the woman hummed in acknowledgment.
“let me get you another one of those, i’ll be right back.”
she made you a new milkshake and placed it in front of you.
“now, what’s troubling ya?”
you didn’t know if you wanted to explain it all to this random stranger, considering it was all quite fresh. but then you thought, hey, you could do with getting it off your chest and you would probably never see this person again so why the hell not. you took in a breath before you spoke.
“i cheated on my girlfriend with my best friend who i think i’m in love with but now i’m on holiday with said girlfriend who is no longer my girlfriend because on our second day here i told her about it and now i’m stuck here until tomorrow waiting to fly home.”
your voice came out very matter of factly and the woman, who was leaning on the counter, blinked a few times, processing.
“gosh,” she said.
“i know,” you sipped your drink.
“darlin’ you’ve got yourself in quite a mess here.”
“you think?” your eyes widened to emphasise the sarcasm.
“so where is the girl-sorry, ex girlfriend?”
“no idea, but we still have to share a hotel room until we leave.”
“oof. where is this best friend?”
“at home in wyoming.”
“when did… it happen? if you don’t mind me asking.”
“at the weekend.”
“damn.”
“i’m fucked, aren’t i.”
the woman took in a breath to gather her thoughts.
“maybe, maybe not. depends on what you want out of this.”
“what do you mean?”
“i mean, this friend of yours, you said you think you love her?”
“ye–i mean, i don’t kn–fuck, yes. yes i do.”
“and,” she dragged the word out, “do you think she loves you too?”
you shrugged and slapped your arms down on the counter.
“i don’t know! every time we try and talk about it it’s like we’ve forgotten how to fucking speak! i don’t know what to do!” your voice had gotten louder and more shrill. other people in the cafe could definitely hear you now if they wanted to pay attention. the woman smiled the way a mother would at her teenage daughter going through her first heartbreak.
“honey, i think you need to tell her how you feel.”
you took another sip, pausing.
“but what if she doesn’t feel the same?”
“then at least you’ll know.”
you grumbled, taking another sip.
“have you spoken to her whilst you’ve been out here?” you immediately felt a pang of guilt.
“no.”
the woman patted your hand.
“you can’t run from it forever, honey.”
once again your straw made a gurgling sound as you finished your milkshake.
“it’s on the house.”
“what? no, it’s fine, i can pay.”
“nope. this one’s on me, i insist.”
“are you my fairy godmother or something?” you laughed.
the woman laughed too and jokingly put her hands up in surrender before leaning them back down on the counter.
“just an old gal who wanted to make sure you were ok.”
“thank you, i really appreciate it.”
you smiled at each other before she walked off out the back. you decided to stop being a wimp and messaged ellie.
you
11:36am
hey els, hope you’re ok. i just wanted to tell you that i told kate, we broke up, but i can’t get home until tomorrow night. can we please talk when i get back?
˚ · • . ° .
you found an array of things to fill your day with but everything was coated in a fresh layer of anxiety because ellie had not replied. she might be busy, she might be working, she has a life, you thought. either that or she hates you.
you and kate barely spoke when you went to bed. it was incredibly awkward and you questioned whether or not you should have gotten a second room in a different hotel but for only two nights it still seemed like a stupid expense. you just had to get through this, then you could maybe put this whole thing to rest.
when you woke up the next day, kate was already gone. your flight was at 4pm so you’d see her soon enough to go to the airport. what a shit show, you thought. you rubbed your eyes and grabbed your phone. still no text from ellie. the anxiety in the pit in your stomach hadn’t let up. this was really out of character for her, she’d never gone this long without replying to you. sure, she was pretty useless with her phone in general but never with you.
˚ · • . ° .
“come on, we need to go,” kate huffed, checking her watch as she stood in the doorway of your hotel room.
“yeah yeah, i’m coming.”
the taxi drive was dead silent. the wait at the airport was dead silent, both of you just putting headphones on. you tried to sleep on the four hour flight but it just wasn’t happening. having to sit still was bad enough.
when you landed and were standing outside with your suitcases, you both stopped and looked at each other.
“i’m not gonna pretend like this isn’t really awkward,” kate spoke first.
“yeah,” you lightly kicked the ground, “again, i’m sorry about all this.”
“me too.” more silence.
“well, goodbye,” she said, her voice lifeless and sad.
“bye.” and with that she left. it all felt very weird and you felt sad. more so because you had hurt kate in a way you didn’t intend to, but what was done had been done and you could only really focus now on what lay ahead.
you got back to your apartment just after 9pm and threw your stuff down, not wanting to deal with it. you checked your phone again. still no reply.
“right, i can’t take this,” you muttered to yourself and aimlessly grabbed your phone and jacket before heading over to ellie’s place. on the walk over you tried to prepare what you were going to say.
“ellie, i need to tell you that–no, no…ellie, this whole thing has made me realise i–fuck,” you were getting frustrated. someone walked by and gave you a strange look as you were talking to yourself in public but you didn’t care and gave them a strange look back. you reached her place and tried to call her to tell her you were outside. voicemail. excellent. you buzzed the apartment intercom, over and over and over until you gave up. nothing. she wasn’t home.
“fuck this,” you cursed, wracking your brain for where she could be. it was a saturday night. hazy’s, you thought.
you beelined there and of course, it was busy. you couldn’t see her so you pushed your way to the bar. a familiar guitar riff played in the background. the band you went to see together were playing again. how stupidly poetic.
“nadine!” you called. she span around.
“hey! i thought you were supposed to be in california?”
“i am, i mean i was, look it’s a long story. have you seen ellie?”
“yeah, she’s here somewhere…oh, she’s over there,” nadine pointed.
you thanked her quickly before rushing over. you caught sight of her over someone’s shoulder but when she came into full view you saw a girl talking to her.
you felt sick. it’s too late, you thought. she hated you and she wanted to move on from it. although, she didn’t look the way she usually did when she was flirting with girls in bars, she kind of looked bored, so maybe everything was fine. you told yourself whatever story you wanted to hear and walked up to her.
“ellie.” her head snapped to look at you. her face looked confused but also…hopeful?
“what the fuck, how are you here?”
“who’s this?” the girl chimed in. you stared at her wishing she would fuck off. you knew you were one to talk but the feeling still stood.
you and ellie both said, “i’m her,” and “she’s my,” at the same time before pausing.
“you’re my what?” her eyes fixated on you.
“please can we just talk?”
“sure,” she said, pushing herself off the wall she had been leaning against and walking towards you. the girl rolled her eyes and disappeared.
you started to walk outside, ellie following behind. your palms felt clammy and your stomach felt like it was about to burst as you still had no idea where to start. once outside and out of the way of anyone you stopped and turned to face her.
“ok ok ok,” you chanted to yourself before leading with, “i’ve been trying to come up with the right way to say this but–“
“where’s kate?” she interrupted.
“she went home.” you felt nervous at how she suddenly sounded a bit pissed off.
“why are you back from california?”
“why would i stay there?” you questioned, confused.
“i don’t know, maybe because you were so excited to go on some romantic fucking getaway with your girlfriend where you’ve probably been fucking and–“
“ellie,” you shouted, trying to get her to stop, “i haven’t, i mean we didn’t do anything! i swear.”
“then why did you go?” she yelled.
“i fucking panicked, i–ok i’m not gonna try and excuse it because that was shitty of me but also why have you been ignoring me?”
“i haven’t been ignoring you.”
“you have, ellie, i messaged you ages ago and you never fucking replied!”
“i broke my phone.”
“when?”
“wednesday.”
“ellie, it’s saturday, why didn’t you get it fixed?”
“i don’t know! i haven’t gotten around to it, anyway does that matter?!”
“yes because if you did then you’d know that i told kate, we broke up a couple days ago, i’m never gonna see her again, i’ve had the worst few days of my life thinking you hated me and didn’t wanna talk and i know it’s all my fault and i’m a fucking idiot but–“
she kissed you.
her warm hands grabbed your face and she kissed you, hard.
you broke apart, gasping for air, her hands still on your face and yours holding her bent elbows for stability as you felt like you could honestly collapse in a heap.
“i don’t think i’ve ever fucked up this colossally in my entire life. well, except for that time i crashed my car into a–“
“will you shut up?” she smirked.
“yeah, no, yeah, sorry.” you stuttered and she kissed you again.
your hands tangled themselves in her hair and hers traveled down to your waist, pulling you tight against her.
“take me home?” you mumbled into it. she smiled and grabbed your hand, practically running back to your place, only because it was closer than hers.
her hands were all over you as you fumbled with the keys to get into your apartment. as soon as the door slammed shut she pushed you up against the nearest wall. you moaned as your back hit it.
“you’ve been driving me insane,” ellie mumbled against your lips.
“i couldn’t stop thinking about you.”
“oh yeah? tell me what you thought about.” she started kissing your neck, her hand slipping under your top to touch your waist.
“your hands,” your cheeks felt hot. she slipped her other hand down to squeeze your ass and chuckled when it made you lean your hips into her.
“anything else?”
“ellie,” you pleaded, feeling embarrassed.
“i wanna know.”
“ok, i thought about how fucking annoying you are when you-“ you yelped as she grabbed your thighs, picking you up, your legs wrapping tightly around her.
she hastily made her way to the sofa and sat down so that you were now straddling her lap. your hands tugged at her hair as you kissed, making her groan. her hands grabbed your ass, making you grind into her. they then slide up your back, pushing your top up as she mumbled, “take it off.”
you ripped your top off and as you’d been traveling all day you hadn’t bothered with a bra so your tits were already out, pressing against her. her hands never left your body as she moved them to cup your boobs, squeezing and brushing her thumbs over your nipples.
“take your jeans off.”
you smirked and climbed off her lap and stood before her. you slowly started to unzip your jeans and slip your thumbs beneath the waist band, ready to push them down. her eyes were gazing all over your body as she licked her lips. you took your time pushing your jeans and underwear down just to tease her. the second they were off she leaned forward and grabbed you, pulling you back onto her straddling her lap.
“you’re eager,” you teased.
“don’t,” she laughed slightly before kissing you. she knew she was but she didn’t care. her hand glided down your back, going over the curve of your ass before you felt her fingers slightly part your wet folds.
you instinctively pushed your body further into hers and she dipped a finger in, slowly moving it in and out with ease. you moaned against her mouth.
“more.”
“now who’s eager.”
your hands gripped her shoulders harder in warning. she fingered you for a little longer until she suddenly moved her hand away, gave your ass a light tap and said, “sit on my face, baby.”
you both wasted no time getting into position as she lied back on the sofa and you hovered over her face. she wrapped her hands around your thighs and pulled you down, licking a long stripe up your cunt.
“fuck, you have no idea how long i’ve wanted to do this.”
her words made you try and squeeze your thighs together but her hands held them tightly in place. her tongue swirled circles on your clit making you breathlessly let out a string of curses.
your knuckles were turning white as you gripped the back of the sofa and you struggled to hold your body upright with how good she was making you feel. so good in fact you didn’t notice that she had moved one of her hands off your thigh until you felt her finger slip into your dripping cunt again. she curled it and worked it inside you alongside the torment of her tongue on your clit.
“oh fuck i’m gonna come.”
she kept her rhythm as your orgasm washed over you. your body went limp above her and she moved her hand up to your waist to support you as you shuffled back down her body. you gave her a tired, sloppy kiss.
“why am i always naked before you?”
“it’s hot,” she laughed.
she then sat up, pushing you up to be in her lap again before saying you should move to your bedroom. you giddily nodded and she pinched your ass as she followed you. she was walking so close her front was practically against your back anyway.
as soon as the bed was in sight she spun you around and kissed you before pushing you back onto it. you giggled as you leant on your forearms looking up at her as she started taking her clothes off. once naked, she leaned over you, lips back on yours, helping you shuffle up the bed. your hands were raking down her back emitting a moan from her. she was then pushing your legs apart and positioning herself so that your cunts were pressed together. you both let out a loud moan as she started rocking her hips.
“fuck, baby,” she groaned.
“feels so good, el.”
her fingertips were digging into your skin, supporting herself as she fucked herself into you. the sounds that filled the room were animalistic and filthy.
“i’m gonna come,” her voice cracked. the sight of her struggling to keep her eyes open above you was enough to send you into your next orgasm.
“m-me too.”
she collapsed on top of you, her face buried in your neck and you trailed your fingertips up and down her back, both of you panting. after you both took a moment to catch your breath she lifted her head to look at you.
“you’re so fucking beautiful,” she said, brushing a piece of hair away from your face.
“so are you,” you smiled, which made her blush.
“stop,” she laughed.
“you always get so weird when i compliment you but sorry baby, you really are.”
she closed her eyes for a second and subtly nodded, accepting it. you took her hand and started absentmindedly playing with her rings. you both looked at each other for a moment, taking in the fact that you were here again, in each other’s arms, but this time it was different. you didn’t have to worry about anything. you could just enjoy it.
“ellie,” you started, suddenly feeling that anxious pit in your stomach again.
“yeah?”
“i think…i think i love you.”
there. you’d said it. you had stopped being afraid and you’d told her.
“actually i think i always have.” your voice was soft and her eyes melted. she placed a light, loving kiss on your lips.
“i think i’ve always loved you too.”
you both laughed but this time you didn’t have to shush yourselves. she suddenly started attacking you with kisses all over your face and neck and you laughed louder.
“can’t believe we wasted all that fucking time,” you joked. she smiled.
“i guess we better make up for it.”

Tumblr media
@roycest too thank youuuu sm guys <33
i borrowed @swifty-fox’s little beasts boys for this one hehe thank u for letting me play with them :3 cw gore mention ~~
- zipping or buttoning their jacket for them
John holds the cigarette up to Gale’s mouth. He knew that he’d quit long before they met. John had offered one without mentioning that; Gale had taken it without a word. His fingertips brush Gale’s lips as he raises the smoke for him again, the usually plush skin turned chapped with anxiety, and sterile air.
He can’t hold the thing himself, because he’s got twin tears through his hands. On each hand: two fractured metacarpals, four torn tendons- palm, and back- one rough, bleeding hole. Disinfected, bandadged, and splinted still now. He’s slated for surgery on both of them in the next couple of days. John’s fingers shake as he helps Gale take another drag.
“Gale-”
“Don’t, John.”
John rubs at his eyes. They sting from being open so long, but each time he shuts them he can only picture Gale, face twisted in agony and two seven-inch iron nails through his palms. “I’m sorry.”
“Don’t,” Gale says again. He fixes John with a look. His eyes are red-rimmed, vaguely glassy from the shock, and the pain, and the good stuff they’ve given him, but it’s an effective look nonetheless. “You got nothin’ to be sorry for.”
John laughs. A teasing, phantom itch passes through the crook of his elbow. “I’m the one who-”
“John, stop it, please.”
It’s only the fraying of Gale’s voice that shuts John up. He wants to touch him so bad but he can’t. Everyone knows him, everyone is doing double takes at the young priest, smoking Reds held up to his face by someone else, and sporting gauze-wrapped stigmata at 2am outside the ER.
John wonders if that’s the only reason they picked him. Like John’s got a pronounced connection to the church in some way less complex than the truth of that relationship. Maybe he’s just been going around wearing his twelve steps on his sleeve, giving off some vibe of reformed dedication to his higher power. He doubts that, though. Very fucking much.
The other explanation is that these people- these guys John owed money to, as they told him- knew about him and Gale. That they talk. John’s got no idea how they would. He’s got no idea who they were, because he can’t remember so many of his fuckups; so many people he’s pissed off or fucked over. Got your priest, said the anonymous text on the screen of his shattered phone. Yours. John wonders if they could tell, if they didn’t know already, that his connection to Gale went beyond Sunday Service in the way that he’d reacted; like a rabid dog as they twisted the nails in deeper. They’d thought it was hilarious. Live crucifixion, real original idea, grinding in the rusty iron fixing Gale to the tree behind until said priest had finally cried. John would’ve given over every cent if he hadn’t been scared for a second that they’d just kill Gale.
He’s not sure where his strength came from, in the end. He hadn’t even thought of his parole.
He wants to hold Gale’s fucking hand. But that’s not something they do anyways, and Gale doesn’t need him to. Couldn’t if he did.
John throws caution to the wind, hopes whoever walks past next might see nothing more than the expected level of comfort to be seen outside an emergency room. He wraps an arm around Gale’s shoulders and pulls him tight to his body. John can feel the way he’s shaking. Adrenaline and morphine slowly seeping out of him, and Gale gives in, too, pressing his face into John’s collar. His breaths come fast and uneven against his skin.
“I’m so fuckin’ sorry,” John says.
He dips his face lower, shielded from view by the side of Gale’s head, and ghosts a kiss above his ear. It’s too tender for whatever they are. Which is currently undefined, a burning mess and hidden clashes of tongues, but John’s too tired to care. He can’t stop hearing the scream Gale clenched behind his teeth.
“It wasn’t your fault,” Gale says. John can’t stop hearing Gale’s quiet, fervent praying. He’d been kind of unconvinced by his devotion before. Still is, mostly- John’s pretty sure he was counting his own Hail Marys, too. “You’re uncharacteristically quiet. It’s freaking me out.”
John laughs. It sounds embarrassingly wet. He peels himself back from Gale, dragging out another smoke. He passes this one back and forth between them; watches Gale wince as his fingers automatically flex, as if John’s gonna let him take it himself. He hasn’t really got anything to say, except that he’s sorry.
“You’ll look hardcore.”
Gale blinks. Then laughs, a shaking and breathless thing, kind of heavenly to John; after the night from hell. “Right.”
“You’ll be the most Godly priest around. The gay rumours have got to stop now.”
“John,” Gale hisses.
John holds his hands up in surrender. “I said rumours. Unfounded, I’ve heard. No fucking idea where anyone would get that from, truly, sick thing to make up about a priest.”
“Fuck, John, what if my fingers don’t work anymore.”
John stops talking again at that. He looks down at Gale’s bandaged hands. There hadn’t been as much blood as John expected, the two long nails plugging the wounds where they speared him back to front. It was only when Gale had ripped one out in the car that it really started to bleed. John told him not to. Gale knew not to, only John guesses he hated the look of the things in his palms, because he’d just tugged one straight out in a daze, and sent blood spurting all over the dashboard, pooling down in his lap. John has seen a lot of shit, but he’s never seen right through someone’s body before. Right through his hands. Gale won’t even be able to turn the pages of his precious Bible alone for weeks, at least. John gets a horrible image of Gale’s loose fist working his cock, the slide of it visible through a gory opening in his tender flesh.
These guys in their masks had asked where Gale’s God was now. He looks like he’s still trying to figure it out.
John could kill someone for a drink. A joint, maybe. A line, or worse. He shakes a little with it.
Gale is still shaking, too. Gentle tremors running up and down his lithe body, useless hands coming around to hug himself. It’s cold, and late, but they’ve been surrounded by doctors and nurses and cops, disinfectant and bleating machines for hours. Gale, who doesn’t smoke anymore, had asked for a cigarette, and John wasn’t going to say no. He shrugs off his old Patriots hoodie and helps Gale’s hands through the sleeves.
“’S’alright,” he’s saying, even as he’s blinking slowly, grimacing with the brush of fabric on his fingers.
“Don’t be a martyr,” John says. “For once.”
John zips the sweater up for him. He pulls the hood up over his ears for good measure, and leans back to admire his work. It would be funny if it weren’t so pitiful; Gale dwarfed somewhat by the thing, mussed hair sticking out from under the hood, and that vaguely smug, pious air gone completely from his tired face. John wonders if his voice will tremble at the altar. If he’ll even get back up there for a while. John doesn’t think it’ll take long. Gale is infuriatingly stubborn.
“John, I can’t feel my fingers,” he says, exhaustion pulling down that defensive veil and making his voice thin. John realises he never answered his question
“Hey, it’s the painkillers. The doctor said you’ll get movement back, didn’t he?”
“He didn’t say how much,” Gale croaks.
“Well,” John grits his teeth. Swallows, then says, “Jesus’s hands worked fine.”
It’s meant to be light, but it comes off sort of desperate.
Gale shuts his eyes. “Ain’t Jesus, John. I’m just a fuckin’- some idiot.”
“Cut it out, Gale,” John says. It’s sharp enough that Gale opens his eyes and looks at him, owlish and shocked. John tugs at his curls and sighs. “Fuck, sorry. Just, bad shit happens when there’s scum involved. Trust me. Y’not actually a saint, some guys fucked you up. It should’ve been- it shouldn’t have been you. Alright? This sort of shit shouldn’t happen to you.”
Gale stares at him. John’s arms still itch uncomfortably, a familiar pull in his stomach making him feel off kilter. He thinks of his one year chip. Thinks of swallowing it whole, seeing if it does any damage to his insides.
“Want to listen to some records later?” he says instead.
“I’m gonna be here overnight, John.”
“Yeah,” John says. “Me too.”
Gale blinks. He looks fucking dreadful; tired and hurt, lost in John’s clothes and all messed up where he’s usually so put together. Sheet white and in pain. John wants to kiss him so bad his veins ache with it. It’s sort of funny, how John thinks he’s friends with a priest now.
“Sure,” Gale says after a while. “I’ll listen to some records with you.”

Changbin was seen sitting in the darkness of his room, watching random youtube videos that caught his eye. Out of all the interesting videos shown on his screen, one specific video stood out from the rest. Changbin immediately clicked it and began watching.
Changbin watched in awe as he saw his band members move around, dancing beautifully to the beat of the song. He watched all the way up until he caught a glimpse of something. What was that? Was that a,,, PIERCING?
A curious Binnie got up from his bed to see just what it was for himself. He wandered around the Stray Kids dorm until he heard a familiar voice from the living room.
Changbin swung himself into the room from the door frame, locking his eyes on his soon-to-be prey.
“Hey Hyunjin! I was watching your dance video earlier,” Changbin says, catching the attention of the taller male as he stepped closer.
Hyunjin was lying down on their couch, phone in hand, watching videos similar to what Changbin was doing before. Looking up for a second before going back to his phone, Hyunjin responded with,
 “Did you enjoy it?"
“I did, yes.” Changbin says, sitting on the couch next to Hyunjin, they both fit but just barely.
“Something caught my eye about your outfit, though.”
“What’s that?” Hyunjin moved his phone away to look at the older man, who was now leaning over him.
Changbin, without saying more, lifted Hyunjin’s shirt just enough to show the shiny piece of metal inside his navel.
“Oh my god, it's real." Changbin chuckled at his discovery.
“Changbin wha-” Hyunjin’s confused response was cut short by a brief but loud squeal. Apparently, Changbin thought it was a good idea to try and touch his piercing without a warning.
"Woah, Hyunjin, are you okay? That didn't hurt, did it?
Hyunjin looked to the side, trying to hide the blush he felt creeping onto his cheeks, leaving Changbin to worry about the younger
 “I’m fine; it didn't hurt."
“Then what in the world was that sound?” Changbin asks, pretending not to catch on to the younger’s reactions.
“What sound?” Hyunjin threw out a random response, hoping to change the subject or blame the sound on the TV, which was not on.
“This sound” Changbin repeated his action from earlier, a smirk slowly growing on his face as he heard the same exact squeal.
“Okahahay, enough” Hyunjin giggles, trying to cover his mouth with his fist.
“No way you’re THAT ticklish, Hyunjin-ah,” Changbin gawked at the helpless boy in front of him.
“How did they even pierce you when you’re this sensitive?”
 “Shuhut up”
“No, no, no, we are testing this out right now." Changbin taunted the younger, swinging his leg over Hyunjin so he was pinning him to the couch by his waist. Changbin then rubbed his hands together teasingly, as if he were going to eat him.
On Hyunjin’s end, he could not stop giggling. Was it because of the anticipation or Changbin’s teasy actions? Hyunjin himself didn't even know.
"Alright, Hyunjinnie, I'm going to count to 3~” Changbin states, wiggling his fingers in front of his prey, starting a fresh new batch of anticipation giggles.
"Please, nohoho,” he shook his head, yet did nothing to stop the older.
“No counting? Okay!”
“CHANGBIHIHIN NOOHOHO!”
Hyunjin threw his head back in ticklish agony as his ler descended all 10 fingers on his hyper-sensitive tummy, pinching, wiggling and scratching around one of Hyunjin’s worst spots. On instinct, Hyunjin began thrashing, kicking his legs as best he could and trying to hit Changbin’s hands away. None of these efforts stopped Changbin and his tickling.
“Yah, Hyunjin, keep still." Changbin dodged the hands, moving from spot to spot, gaining more of Hyunjin’s laughter. Snorts mixed in from the fast movements.
“I CAHAHANT,” Hyunjin says, shaking his head, matching the rest of his body.
“That’s it” Changbin, who decided the thrashing was too much, got an idea. He grabbed Hyunjin’s tired hands and effortlessly pinned them above his head, exposing more of his torso. With his remaining hand, he hovered his hand just above Hyunjin, waiting for a response.
“Changbin,, I can't move." Hyunjin tried to pull his arms down, but his useless attempt was caught by Changbin.
“I know that's the point, Hyunjinnie~” He squeezed Hyunjin’s wrists for emphasis on his tease.
“Just a little bit more okay, I know you can endure it~"
“Ugh, Fine” Hyunjin sighed, shutting his eyes tightly, waiting for it to begin. A small smile tugged on his lips, which Hyunjin tried to hide with a pout.
Changbin questions Hyunjin’s reactions. He seemed quite okay with it, despite his weak escape attempts. No way was he enjoying this, right? Now that he was thinking about it, he never said stop, right?
Changbin needed to try something. He sat still, not moving closer nor farther away, and waited for his reaction. Hyunjin figeted with his feet and kept his eyes closed for a moment before opening them and asking,
“Are you going to?-”
“You want me to?”
This question made Hyunjin freeze. How could Changbin read him that easily? Hyunjin never thought about telling the members about his love of being tickled; it never really came into discussion. Well, until now.
“Uh, n-no?” Hyunjin answered with a giggle. The blush from earlier returned, like Pinocchio told a lie.
“Really? Your face is telling me a whole other story." Changbin’s sly attempt at flustering him further worked wonders.
“I-i,,” Hyunjin was speechless; he didn't expect his day to turn out like this, but in no way was he complaining.
“Maybe” Hyunjin’s past giggles returned once again.
“See, I knew it," he grinned down at his friend with a loving gaze.
“That’s adorable!”
“W-whatever, are you going to continue or not?" Hyunjin stuttered, evading eye contact, when he realized what he said.
“I will, I will, hold your horses.” Changbin says, not letting go of the grip on his hands he’s had the whole time.
Changbin saw how impatient the man under him was getting and decided he should stop his stalling.
Changbin used Hyunjin’s position to his advantage and used his single hand to scratch at the skin under Hyunjin’s arm. Hyunjin’s sweet giggles started anew. He tried his hardest not to thrash as hard, and the added weight of Changbin helped in his favour.
"Awe, is Hyunjinnie a bit too ticklish, hmm?” Changbin says in his iconic baby voice to further torment the younger. Hyunjin said nothing and continued to freely let his laughter out.
“Where else is Hyunjinnie ticklish?” Changbin asks, knowing he wouldn't get anything but more laughter instead of an answer.
He moved his hand to softly flutter up and down his sides, and with Changbin’s hands, Hyunjin’s laughter softened as well. Changbin was having fun with their little tickle session, but he needed to know,
"You enjoying yourself down there?”
“Yehehes”
“D'awwwww~”
Hyunjin had never experienced something so flustering in his life, but he would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy every bit of it. His face was completely red, scrunched and plastered with a huge smile as Changbin showered him with random compliments throughout the session. He was glad no one else was there to see it, though.
“Hey Hyunjinnie?”
“Y-yeah”
“Have you ever heard of a raspberry?”
Hyunjin’s eyes finally opened with a wide glare directed at Changbin.
“So you have, hmm?”
“Dohon’t even think about it.”
“What are you gonna do about it? Run away?” Changbin squeezed his wrists once again for emphasis. He knew what he needed to do, and he was going to do it. He looked over Hyunjin, using his eyes to find the perfect spot. His eyes landed on his neck and he went in for the kill. Changbin leaned in and blew the longest raspberry he could manage right on the side of Hyunjin’s neck.
The screech Hyunjin let out could make a man deaf, the crazy laughter that followed was equally loud. His squirming and thrashing increased ten fold, almost throwing Changbin off the couch. Good thing he was stronger.
Changbin had finally stopped, which caused Hyunjin to go limp and his laughs to grow more weazy. This concerned Changbin to slow his tickles down until he was slowly tracing shapes onto the younger’s exposed skin.
“Sorry if it was a bit much...”
Soon Hyunjin’s screams of laughter died down to his soft giggles as he lay there still under Changbin’s grasp.
"No, it’s fine; don't worry about it; I'm not dead yet,” the younger said through huffs as he gained his breath back. Changbin finally let go of the younger's arms and sat back beside him, rubbing a few excess tingles away.
"Well, that was fun." Changbin cut the silence.
“Yeah, thank you, Binnie."
“I don't think anyone has ever thanked me for tickling them before."
"Pshh, shut up.”
After hearing Hyunjin’s comeback, he raised his hands and wiggled his fingers, causing Hyunjin to flinch a bit and let out some excess giggles.
“I could get used to this." Changbin chuckled
"Okay, I'm going to go finish that video now.”
“I’m coming!”
Changbin and Hyunjin went back to Changbin’s room to continue watching his dance video and many others until completely falling asleep beside each other.

Chapter 7: Even if It's For One Night
Word count: 4.1K
Nearly a week passed as you scoped out the door whenever you heard the chimes.
You two maintained your everyday messaging, as you refrained from distressing him about stopping by, taking in what he told you.
Yet, a part of you still hoped he strolled through that door.
“I appreciate the donations, but not when there are so damn many of them!”
A woman a few years older than you stumbled out with an enormous box on both arms, her wild, wavy hair peeking out from the sides.
“Remind me to never take donations unless cash is involved.”
“A charitable donation is a charitable donation, Ronnie. Rather you like it or not.” You didn't look up from your phone as you giggled at something on the screen.
“Money is also seen as a charitable one! So make it easier for me.”
Ronnie peered over to her employee, whose head still refused to rise from the device.
“Who are you texting?”
“Take a guess.” You tilted a bit to acknowledge her.
“Ah yes. Him.” She teasingly piped.
Ronnie plopped the cardboard box of fabrics and other accessories on the counter.
“When will you tell me more about him?!”
“What is there more to say that I haven't already said, Ronnie?” You sighed and began to scoop out the cute clothes.
Rompers seem to be back in style.
“Uh, besides the name and that he's a ‘great guy,’ not much is being fed to me. I need the buffet, the nine-course meal.”
You gave her an impassive face. Your boss placed a hand on her forehead, dramatically but carefully, flopping her back on the check-out countertop.
“I'm practically starving. You're just letting me fade away. You dangle the sandwich, yet reel it back whenever I'm in reach.” She exaggerated, making sure to enunciate. Every. Single. Word.
“I thought you wanted a full thirty-course meal? Why did it get reduced to a sandwich?”
“Don't change the subject" She stuck her tongue out. “And it was nine, but come on! Just tell me something. You always smile at your phone when you tell me you're texting the guy.”
She threw her arms up in a very animated manner.
“Ronnie, you'll survive.”
The woman grumbled and wrapped her arms around her chest like a pouting child who didn't get their way.
Then her face did a one-eighty.
“As your superior, I command you to tell me.”
“Oh for fuc- Ronnie, that's abuse of power! That's in the work guidelines for beginners.” Your hands slid down your face in pure agony.
“Nuh-uh. Um, um, obstruction of the peace.” Ronnie countered.
“I don't think you're even using that correctly.”
“Obstruction of the peace!” Ronnie's batty grin only disconcerted you more than before.
“Oh my gosh. He's tall, dark, and beautiful. There. Has the appetite been fed?” You began to dump the clothing back into the box, already exhausted from your "leader's” shenanigans.
“Hmm, let me think–no.” Ronnie frivolously perked her elbows up, her balled-up fingers smushing her cheeks. “Not until I see concrete proof. Hard evidence.”
You groaned, plucking the box off the wooden surface. “I swear you are just a handful. If you need me, I'll be in the back sorting clothes.”
“Aw, you're going to do that for me? You are so sweet! But don't think this conversation is over. We are jus-”
Before Ronnie could finish, you zipped off in the opposite direction, yelling that you were ‘too far away to hear the rest.’
You unleashed a lengthy exhale after that agonizing ordeal. You were aware that Ronnie didn't want to organize, so she found a cheeky escape route. And you couldn't criticize her curiosity.
When the dead workdays pop up, you're usually on your phone texting him. Giggling like a schoolgirl who somehow was able to obtain their crush's number.
He manages to make your knees all jelly, so flimsy. The grasp he has you webbed in is ridiculous. How you're caught up in the bewitching netting. Is it wrong? Is this an inappropriate way to envision someone you're admiring?
Spinning one into a web is usually viewed as distasteful, deceptive, and abysmal.
Sickening. Revolting.
Yet this web, like most, is silky and luscious. You don't seem to believe you're the prey–far from it. Restrained in the powerful strings is something that beckons you. What you seek.
Awaiting him, trusting him. Knowing that the mesh is used to protect. In a way that serves not only him but you as well. You don't sense any threats. No harm from him to you. You're confident about it. It's as if you fully know. Comprehending it in all of its certainty.
Besides, the only time you'll undoubtedly feel threatened, afraid is if you are bound, dangling exposed for him to take in every part. His claws and fangs grazed, scraping across your delicate skin, leaving tiny scratches all over.
His eyes locked on yours. Mouth gagged as you wouldn't be able to beg, but your body does it for you. His hands will grope every inch... his full lips kissing down so slowly, so hungrily until he reaches right in between your trembling, soaking thi-
You slapped yourself mentally and physically.
“Stop it, you pervert!” You quietly hissed and began to sort through the clothes, struggling to remove all those thoughts from your mind.
Pretending that the tingly sensation isn't sparking in-between said thighs. He shouldn't have this effect on you. But the state he put you in speaks otherwise.
Ronnie was skimming through a stack of books she's been purposely evading for the past week when she heard the hanging chimes near the front entrance jingle.
“Oh goody. A person.” She mumbled in a snarky tone before putting on her half-assed customer service voice.
“Hi there. Welcome to Adequate Antique Aaa–Abs-o-licious!”
Ronnie was fully astonished by the colossal, hunky model of a man standing in her tiny shop.
She continued to stare as Miguel stood there uneasy, his eyes covered, but the expression was undoubtedly frigid.
Soft rock played on the overhead speaker as the gawking from Ronnie lasted another thirty seconds until Miguel cleared his throat, breaking that unwarranted silence.
“Oh! Right. How may I help you, my good sir? Anything you have particularly in mind? You're also very, very welcome to peruse our many, many trinkets.” Ronnie shoved the books aside. An overly flirtatious grin crossed her lips, her eyebrows bouncing up and down.
“I'm looking for somebody who works here. They should be in today.” Miguel's stoicism refused to leave.
Ronnie's attempted wooing fled as she scrunched her face at him. “Someone who works here–oh. Oh! You're tall, dark, and beautiful!”
Miguel was taken aback by the sudden exclamation.
“Tall, dark, and beauti-”
She interrupted Miguel before he could even question what she could possibly imply by that.
“Yeah! No, I'll go get her for you!”
Miguel was blurred by the woman and the situation as a whole.
“I can go look for her–”
“I have someone up here to see you!”
Miguel slightly flinched as Ronnie shouted and whacked both her hands on the hardwood counter before turning her attention back onto him.
“She'll be up here soon.” Ronnie beamed at the even more exhausted Miguel.
A few seconds passed when a new voice emerged from the side.
“Why bother giving me this beeper if you're never going to use- oh! This is a very pleasant surprise.”
You internally screeched and flipped around. A smile spread across your face as you took a few steps toward him. He was actually here.
Miguel softened. His body unwinded as he warmly gazed down at you. “I managed to sneak in some free time and wanted to take a peek at the store myself.”
“I'm so glad you stopped by. You okay? They didn't harass you about this, did they?”
Miguel's stomach had those metaphorical butterflies floating endlessly. His own smile forming over your worries.
“Ah, no, not as much.” He had to lie. He didn't want you fretting over him.
“Good. That's good. I'm glad they're easing up on you.”
You didn't mean to come off as nosy. It was a sudden switch for you. A new defensive mode whenever something was visibly agitating or troubling him.
The sensations he brings.
Ronnie darted between the two, seemingly drifting into each other's eyes. Even if Miguel was wearing sunglasses, Ronnie knew what was up. Coughing loudly to break the ogling, you both jumped back as Miguel scratched his head, and you turned your attention to your employer.
“Sooo, are you going to introduce me?”
You puffed some air out, disregarding Ronnie's shit-eating grin.
“Ronnie, this is Miguel. Miguel, this is my boss, Ronnie.”
“Hm, so this is the famous Ronnie I've heard about.”
“Gasp! I'm actually talked about outside of work? I knew you secretly adored me!”
You groaned as the humiliation settled almost instantaneously. Miguel just offered half a smile before dropping it a second later. He honestly didn't know how to react.
“And I prefer infamous!” Ronnie pumped her chest with way too much pride.
“You do know infamous isn't a good thing.”
You tried to clarify, but Ronnie bolted to the next thing.
“And Miguel. My my, aren't you a gorgeous man? Girl, you didn't tell me he also had an inviting, buttery voice.”
Your right eye twitched. Miguel tensed from this encounter.
“Actually, she didn't tell me much about you besides your name and that ‘you're one great guy.’” She indiscreetly winked, as you were ready to slam your head down on the counter. Maybe hard enough for a concussion.
“But I do know how happy she gets whenever she's talking to you. I swear her face lights up with this adorable twinkle when her Migg-”
“Okay, that's enough!” You stumble your body in between Miguel and the timber furniture.
Miguel and Ronnie stared anxiously at your sudden outburst. The music continued to whisk over them for a couple of seconds until you gulped audibly.
“I didn't mean to yell. That shouldn't have come out like that. I'm sorry, Ronnie.”
She waved her hand dismissively.
“Nah, it's all good. Go ahead and take your break. I'll finish up your tasks. And hey, it was nice meeting you, Miguel. Take care of my girl.”
Miguel blushed before bobbing his head. “Of course. Nice meeting you as well.”
You scampered to grab your things as the two headed out. You called out a goodbye to Ronnie and went to enjoy this time.
You both decided to head on over to an Asian street food restaurant. Thankfully, it was slow, as only three people preoccupied the other tables.
“Have you ever been here before?” You scrolled down the digital menu, figuring out what you wanted.
“No. I don't think I've even ventured this far out of work.” Miguel observed the area, taking note of all the different Asian cultures plastered on the walls.
“How far is your job from here?”
“It’s about a thirty-five, forty-minute walk.”
You began calculating the distance from there. “So around two miles? Twenty minutes is equal to a mile, right?”
He nodded. “But I bought it down to ten. I'm sure you can figure out how.”
You blinked until it hit you. “Ah yes, you swung on by.”
Miguel shot you a disappointed glance as you goofily grinned. “Are you sure you aren't secretly a spider person?”
“I don't have that terrifyingly stellar intelligence.” You lightly tapped your noggin.
Eventually, you two ordered, plunging into that soothing silence. The warmth he cascades upon you has your stomach in knots. You squeeze your legs together, trying to furiously distract your mind from something else.
Then Miguel took a sip of his water, some dribbling down the side of his mouth. You squeaked as your subconscious pried its way through, wanting those certain thoughts to emerge.
“I remember you telling me that you have sensitive eyes. Is that why you wear sunglasses even indoors?” You locked those feelings back.
“Si. That, and I don't think many would find my eyes appealing to gaze into. Why I've been called ‘vampire’ so much. ¡Esa mierda se vuelve tan molesta! ¡No sé por qué sienten la necesidad de bur-”
“Your eyes are appealing to me. They are very breathtaking. Like staring into two dazzling rubies.”
He reclined back in the seat as the compliment caught him completely off guard. He can't remember the last time a flattering remark was made. Maybe as a joke, or when Peter bizarrely proclaimed he has ‘very ravishing red orbs,’ but not genuine praise.
You purse your lips, chastising yourself secretly for even blurting out something like that.
“I-I'm sorry. I should've been more mindful of what I said.”
He removed his glasses and placed them on the table.
A string snapped.
You glimpsed at the shades, then back at him, before a smile took over. You leaned forward as you both got lost in each other's words.
The food was steaming hot, emitting heavenly scents of herbs and spices. Mouth-watering, you promptly begin to chow down, humming in satisfaction.
“Always the best to come when no one is barely around.” You declared, stuffed with a mouthful of udon.
“No need to rush. They're able to be precise with the cooking.” He mindfully slurps some of his miso soup and sighs out.
“Mhm!” You gladly agreed, gulping down the tasty noodles.
“Oh! I was meaning to ask. Are they finally used to you taking well-deserved breaks? They must be if you took an afternoon one versus your usual night ones.” You held your bowl of udon up, offering some to him before he politely declined.
“Yeah. I told them I needed to pick up a few pieces for this upcoming project I'm working on, and they were fine with it.” He took a swig of his condensed glass of water.
Lies. Miguel recollected the events that led up to this spontaneous outing.
He was already seething when an anomaly nearly threatened to disrupt a canon event due to ridiculously cocky rookies who took the situation too carelessly. He doesn't enjoy shelling out verbal lashings. In fact, he can't stand them. But if others refuse to understand the dire conditions they're in, then it's the only means necessary to get the point across.
And on top of that mess, he still wasn't at the shop. Every time he would pluck up the effort to go, he would repeatedly hinder his opportunities.
Internal excuses after excuses. If he's not present, disarray will happen. If he's not here, who will scrutinize the multiverse? Who will conduct sweep checks to make sure the technology is in proper working order? There was too much on his plate, and each day he wasn't there, the more his temper was easier to set off.
But a few hours earlier, something possessed him as he requested Jess and Peter B. to come to his office.
“The other day, I stumbled upon an ample amount of curios I exactly needed for this new project I'm undertaking.” Miguel's back turned as he searched, trying to remember the name of the store.
“So you need one of us to pick up the par-”
“No! You two will stay here and keep an eye on things.” He hissed as Jess folded her arms over her prominent, protruding belly.
She decided to let that rude, interrupting outburst slide. For now.
“Miguel, are you okay? You've been seeming more, um, what's the word I'm looking for?”
“More of an ass?”
Miguel scowled at Jess as she held that unshakable glare whenever he got this way.
“Uh, no, not necessarily that. More piqued, disgruntled! Yeah, that's it!” Peter patted where the sling for Mayday usually was.
“Look. I'll be gone for about a couple of hours and then back with the goobers.”
Peter was perfectly fine with that response, but Jess's skeptical eyes and frown practically dug into his skull; however, she opted to take his word with a pinch of salt.
The accumulated goggles of spider-people ticked Miguel off as the murmurs of their superior, nonchalantly walking out of the lobby, was going to be next the buzzing topic.
Though it didn't matter, as far as he was concerned, getting to you was his main priority.
“Miguel? You okay?” You rested your hand on his, which would dwarf yours, as concern registered all over your face.
“What?” He rocked a bit, skimming the area, before his awareness landed on you.
“You seemed lost in thought for a good while. I thought it was because you were enjoying the food so much that I decided to let you be. But it started to scare me when you wouldn't answer after five minutes.”
He peeked at the table that lay nearly empty dishes. Did he become so absent-minded that he managed to finish his entire meal without uttering a single word to you?
And yet, you remained poised, uncomplaining.
“Here, let's get back to the antique shop. The lunch rush hour is starting to pick up.” You whirled around, minding the influx of hungry customers piling in.
You paid for his meal and yours as Miguel tried to intervene, but you heavily insisted. In a battle he wasn't winning, he let you be.
Jostling out and heading back, you made small conversation. You were still quite concerned, wondering what was dwelling in his mind.
“Did you enjoy the meal?” You swayed your arms back and forth in no particular rhythm.
“Yes, it was delicious; the flavors blended well. And I will pay you back for my half.”
“You don't have to! It was my pleasure to-”
“I insist. Tell me the cost, and I will pay you back for it.” He instructed more than asked.
A surge rushed through your veins and directly to your lower region. “I-I will think of something instead.”
“Good gi- good. That's fine, just let me know.” He caught himself before that inappropriate comment slipped. He didn't know what seized his mind to nearly exclaim that.
You didn't catch it. He thanked the universe, as he would never forgive himself if you did hear that disgusting phrase from him.
The remainder of the stroll was mute until returning to the shop. Ronnie fanatically welcomed you both back, questioning and teasing about the outing.
“Did you enjoy yourselves? I know I sure would if I were by this godly, glorious man!”
Reprimanding her, you swiped up Miguel's forearm, leading him away as Ronnie cheekily yelled not to destroy her things.
“Don't get too handsy, if you catch my drift!”
Ultimately overlooking that, you and Miguel browsed the many knickknacks and ornaments encompassing every cranny. Miguel was in awe of the countless artifacts and objects.
Though it didn't beat the liveliness from you as you described the items, elucidating the sea of stories behind a chunk of the goods.
He got lost in your love for this.
How you're able to enjoy the simplest things in life. How you manage to discover the inner beauty and soul in things, no matter how dented or defaced they appear. How you make it look so easy. Yet, how would you react to the heinous crimes he committed? Would you still find that same beauty and soul in him? No, clearly not.
He convinced himself otherwise.
Plucking an electronic gizmo from a stand, you brought it up to his face when you noticed him wearily zoning out. There was something draining him, and your instincts to alleviate it kicked in.
“Miguel, do you think this piece will help with the project you're working on?”
He inched his head down to see a gear with a tiny motherboard covering the surface.
A crooked smile tugged from him as fingers curled around the miniscule tool, brushing against your palm. “Yes, this will be fine. Thank you.”
That electrical touch he gives never fails to give you shivers.
That softness you hold never fails to bring him to his knees.
“I know how you can pay me back.” You shifted through some bins in search of more gear for him.
“Oh, and how is that?”
“There's a botanical garden near here, and I pass by it every time but never get the chance to go as I use my off days to rest up.”
“So, like a hangout or a date?” Miguel rummaged in the bins with you.
“Whatever you want it to be.” You grinned, carefully headbutting your head on his bicep.
His breath hitched, cheeks heating, as his stomach began to twist. He shouldn't. He shouldn't.
“Deal then.”
A string broke.
That joy never wavered from either one.
“Oh, and by the way.” Miguel pulled himself out of a trance.
“Hm?”
“Tall, dark, and beautiful?”
“...Ronnie!” You jerked yourself to your feet and began to admonish your guilty leader, as Miguel held in his laughter.
Saying his farewells with a container stuffed with gadgets that he'll cram somewhere to find uses for them later, a hunger bellowed within. His thoughts were rampant. Never ceasing. Not even the rosy pink and sunset orange skies wouldn't sedate his brain from going back to you.
A date… no, you are only hanging out. That's it.
He doesn't imagine the bright smile you'll have as you stroll by an array of flowers. Or how beautiful the hues from them and the sun will bring out your skin tone. Or what adorable outfit you'll choose to wear. Or what you will chat about…
He doesn't think about you lying on the ground, hidden from the public eye, enclosed by Mother Nature's blossoming fluorescence. Your stunning legs folded around his waist, nails dragging down his back as he strenuously thrusts into you when he–
A sudden thunderous clap roared from above, knocking him back to reality. To Miguel, the dark clouds arose to freeze that line of lust. Miguel closed his eyes. You mustn't have them as well. It was only his sick, perverted imagination going in that direction.
He decided to just dawdle the rest of the way back, even if the rain caught him. He'll deal with the plethora of complaints from Jess later. Right now, he craves that alone time.
Halfway there, Miguel eventually accepted that you would never cross the path he chose. Especially for a man like him. And he wouldn't blame you one bit...
You grasped your pillow for dear life as a finger plunged deep within your folds.
“Mi-Miguel! Deeper!”
Your faint whimpers were drowned out by the thunder. You leaked on your fresh, crisp sheets. Just as the nightly rain drips, so do you.
“Don't stop; please never stop! Oh Miguel!”
You gasped out his name. It felt so sinful on your tongue, yet flowed out like smooth, red wine.
Adding another finger, your eyes rolled in the back of your skull. The only thing that plagued, no, graced your mind was the thought of his long digits pumping into you.
The more you imagined, the more your pointer and middle fingers slipped in and out in rapid succession. Your velvety, wet walls clenching so nicely.
Could you take him? Will you feel every part? Every throb, every vein? How warm would it be? Cozy? Or burning due to the desires you'll both share?
You whined in sync with the roaring bolt. You shouldn't be doing this. You shouldn't.
But you couldn't stop.
Unbeknownst to you, in the middle of the city, in the middle of it all, a grunt sprang out in his own room, the walls concealing his impurity.
“Yes, just like that. You're such a good girl.”
Miguel lay spread on his mattress as he vigorously pumped up and down. His unrestrained clawed hand moving at speeds that no human will ever be able to keep up with.
Veins coursed all over his girth, no matter which angle one peeked at. He was burning, his length on fire.
He squeezed, emitting another grunt. Globs of precum ran down as he tugged brutally and madly. He imagined it was you riding him for dear life.
“Montas a papi tan bien, bebita.”
He groaned as rumbles from the sky joined in. His mind crossed you with every jerk.
How tight would you be? Would he be able to force every inch? He would make it work. He wants to mold you just for him, that you can take it all.
Will you spill over as he thrusts into you at a swift pace? Squirting out all over his tongue or cock?
He growled as his imagination ran feral. His palm slapping against his balls, propelling his hips at irregular tempos. He hears the rain violently drumming against his window, overlooking the ones who look up.
Yet, the only thing he wants to gaze down upon are those pretty lips wrapped around him. Looking up at him.
Looking up with lust and love. Genuine love.
The downpour can cover his wrongs, but it won't matter. His thoughts for you will fall from him.
He could not stop. He knew he could've.
Yet he should have. He knows he shouldn't stop. The flames spread, shining more within the concealed darkness.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kerry looked at the lack of new messages on his phone, not really impatient, not nervous, but something strange in-between... Full of anticipation, more like it. Right on the edge of where it was still exciting but also slowly turning into nerve-wracking agony.
It was almost 9 p.m., the music was blaring across the dancefloor the next room over, and even here, in this little hallway to the side, the laser show was still impressively bold. Private braindance cabins were lined up closely here, clients came and went, paid him little mind as they passed him by on their way in and back out of Lizzie’s Bar.
Not Kerry’s usual scene, admittedly. Not for lack of trying or interest, it was more this place in particular. The music, the crowd, the fashion and food… just awfully reminded him how fucking old he was. Usually, to make it through the night in a bar like this, he’d need a decent amount of booze, even better some candy, but currently that was still out of the question, as his date for the night hadn’t arrived yet… And damn, he was running late. Kerry wished he could say that was unusual. He hoped it was part of the plan, at least.
Or maybe he just had trouble finding him here… Kerry had decided to remove himself from the crowd a little, had noticed a few stares here and there. Not that he minded, but again, he was waiting still, and didn’t really want to mingle on his own, or worse, however unlikely it was in this place, spend the night giving autographs. He looked back on the screen, mindlessly scrolled through the last text messages…
“Hey handsome,” a voice purred next to him, pulled him back to reality. Had Kerry not instantly recognized it, he may have panicked, or just made up a blatant lie as to why he had to leave. Instead, he could finally slip his phone back in his pocket and looked up with a smile. A young man leaned against the wall right next to him, provocatively – he definitely fit in here better than Kerry did. Colorful hair and a cocky grin, striking amber eyes framed by smudgy dark eyeliner. Kerry only just managed to hold back the question where in his closet V had kept the neon-purple net-tanktop he wore, if he’d had it hidden in some box or corner. Knowing him though, he probably saw it in a store and had the idea for this mystery date-night before even buying it.
Tumblr media
“You look bored. How come, in a place as interesting as this?” V, no, the mysterious stranger of course, asked. He lifted his hand to gently tug on Kerry’s jacket’s lapel. Kerry smiled.
Tumblr media
“Hmm, guess I didn’t meet anyone that caught my interest yet,” he said, couldn’t resist reaching up to quickly brush his fingers along V’s arm, across his hand, squeeze his fingers just for a moment. He could see in V’s eyes that he was struggling to stay serious and cool, noticed the light flush of his cheeks. Kerry couldn’t help but chuckle.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Well,” V said, pausing briefly, before looking Kerry in the eyes again, “Maybe I can be the one to make this night more interesting for you…”
Gently he took Kerry’s hand, and Kerry more than willingly followed as he led him to the dancefloor.
Tumblr media
jasdökfhadfaf okay I haven't done something in this format for a while and it was really fun XD Sorry for the long post but yes!!
In my hc they often go on "mystery" dates like this, sometimes more elaborate scenarios like here with a secretive meeting in a location previously agreed upon. Sometimes it's just something simple as meeting for a coffee and pretending to be someone else or not knowing each other XD The tradition started at Caliente's when V was late and Kerry was (rightfully) mad, pretended he didn't know him and complained to him about how his boyfriend is never on time (because talking about difficult stuff like this "indirectly" with a stranger feels easier for some reason). Vince played along right away, also blaming the boyfriend for being really shitty and yeah XD It developed from there just into a fun thing to spice things up a bit now and then when normal life and appointments and all that stuff gets too overwhelming. A little escape from reality if you will (and simultaneously learning to appreciate reality again, too, because usually after a night out like that they're both exhausted and just happy to stay in and cuddle the next day xD).
IM VERY NORMAL ABOUT THEM AND DONT DAYDREAM ABOUT THIS A LOT AT ALL BTW öakhjsdfdasfadösfhasdfdsfa I'll see myself out xDD

Prisoner higuruma fic was so wonderful, you’re so talented 🥹🦋 thank u for making my day
I recently saw those long distance couple bracelets that send a buzz signal to your partner’s bracelet whenever you tap on your own
if you have time or inspiration, could u do nanami and reader being exes but still have feelings for each other; reader still wears the bracelet and taps on it thinking nanami would never receive the buzz🥹 (but he doesss)
(and they get back together uwuwuw) 💞
Years of devotion to Nanami had ended in just a few short months. There’s only so many times you could withstand opening your front door to a blood Nanami, stumbling forward with his hand clutched around an open wound. His reassuring words of, “I’ll be home in a little while, dear,” that fell flat every time it took him a little while longer than usual to come home.
“I can’t do this,” your lip quivers, fingers gripping the wooden door as Nanami’s face drops. His fingertips are stained red, eyes tired and sluggish, bleeding out on your doorway yet again.
“I’m sorry, dear, it won’t happen again. It was a rough mission,” he steps forward, shaking his head in disbelief.
You raise a hand into the air, shaking your head, “No. I can’t keep wondering if you’re going to come home alive.”
That was the last conversation you held with him. Every inch of you collapsed from within, watching as he slugged away from your front door. Maybe it was a mistake, you thought, curling up under your sheets. You thought it would be easier to not know if he were dead or alive but you were being eaten alive at the idea that maybe he wasn’t here anymore.
You wrap your hand around your wrist. Years ago, Nanami gifted you a bracelet. With one tap, it would send a small vibration to his bracelet. You never took it off. It felt as if a piece of his soul was forever connected to yours. Surely his bracelet is sitting on his nightstand, covered in dust and unworn. Your finger shakily hovers over the button. You screw your eyes shut, pressing the pad against it. You held your breath, watching in agony. One second. Two seconds. Three seconds.
Your bracelet glows a soft red, pulsing gently on your wrist. You shoot out of bed, fingers numb and mouth dry as you rip the bracelet off of your wrist. Was it a malfunction? Did I miss something?
You throw the bracelet across the room, suddenly queasy. Your phone vibrates on your end table, the photo of the two of you from Christmas one year ago illuminated your screen. You press the answered call against your ear.
“I’m okay, dear.”
You swallow, “Good. I was just… checking.”
“Will you let me inside if I knock? I need to see you.”

You shared the kiss prompt list so I get to make requests too, right? riiiight? Cause I would love John and Santino with a combo of #9...in public & #35...to gain something 😈
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I GET PROMPTS. LOOK AT THAT. 4K WORDS.
Also, you might note this is only "part I." because when I was figuring it out, I got two ideas. Wastly different ideas but I still decided to have them in the same fic, so now there is a part I. and part II.
I also used the opportunity to write an AU from my own fic (and isn't that narcisism at its peak?). It's a "what if" version of my HC.
So here goes Part I.
I put it on AO3 because it's too long for a simple Tumblr post, but here is the start.
-------------
The phone vibrated again on the side table.
Santino’s hands spasmed against the white linen of the sheets. He hissed as it reawakened the pain in his fingers. His left hand was totally useless, three of the fingers broken under his father’s shoes. It was his dominant hand, of course, he’d done that on purpose.
Blinking, he tried to focus on the ceiling, but only one of his eyes totally opened, and the room swam in front of his eyes, bringing a fresh wave of nausea. He shut his eyelids again with a shuddering breath, choking on the blooming agony coming from his side as he did so.
He heard high heels clicking on the sterile floor, the woman stopping by his bedside to take hold of the phone. The vibration stopped.
She sat on the edge of the bed, pushed back a curl from his forehead.
“How do you feel?” Gianna asked.
Trying to talk proved challenging: his throat was sore, but more than that, it felt like his whole face was a giant bruise. His jaw didn’t feel right, and there was a metallic aftertaste when he swallowed.
Still, he tried to push through, using his right hand to try and sit up. It didn’t work, alarm blaring in his body as wounds and bruises flared over his whole torso and right leg.
He stopped all efforts with a pitiful whine.
Gianna’s cool hand over his forehead felt like a blessing against his feverish skin.
The phone rang again.
They ignored it.
She helped him drink a few sips of water with a straw, using the bed’s control buttons to help him up just enough so he wouldn’t choke.
“Where…?” he tried to ask. She got it anyway.
“Still in New York, a private clinic. No one knows you’re here. Father wants you back in Naples as soon as you can move.”
Santino wanted to laugh but it came out as a sob. He blinked hard to stop the tears from falling, and it exhausted the little energy he had.
The smartphone buzzed once more.
Both siblings looked at it, at the name flashing on the screen until it stopped.
“He’s not gonna quit,” Santino told her. It hurt to move his lips, and his tongue felt heavy, but he knew he needed to deal with that soon.
Gianna sighed, pinched the bridge of her nose before nodding. She handed him the device, he took it with shaking fingers.
“You know what you have to do.”
He nodded, letting out a shuddery exhale.
This time, when the phone lit up in his hands, he accepted the call.
“Santino,” John breathed, relief coloring his tone.
“Hello love,” he replied softly in neapolitan, before letting the silence stretch.
“Where are you?”
Trust John to know something was wrong from two words. Or maybe it was the fact Santino had been gone for a day now, if he trusted the morning light coming from the window.
“I’m with Gianna,” the younger man replied. John wasn’t fooled.
“Where are you?” he insisted.
Behind him, Santino could hear the rumble of a car at high speed. John had been on a job for the Tarasovs in another state: a supplier that needed to take a step back and leave his second in command take the reins. When John was involved, taking a step back generally meant six feet underground.
His father must have known, Santino mused distantly, he would’ve waited for the right moment to corner his son alone. It also showed that despite his bravado, D’Antonio Senior was just like the others and feared John Wick.
“My father paid me a visit while you were gone,” Santino explained, feeling his throat close up. “He knows. About us.”
John stayed silent, taking the information.
“Where are you?” he repeated a third time, like the rest didn’t matter.
When he got like this, there was nothing to do, Santino knew that intimately. He’d experienced it numerous times, from John picking him up from his desk to carry him to bed like he weighed nothing, boxing Santino into corners when the young man got angry, waiting for the rage to pass and passively letting Santino snarl and bite him. When he looked at him as he undressed, the assassin’s complete focus on him, on each patch of revealed skin. Patiently waiting for the permission to come closer and—
“I’m already gone,” Santino replied, voice strained by heartbreak, “don’t come for me.”
He hung up, let the phone slide from his hand and clatter to the ground.
Gianna bent to pick it up, caressed his cheek gently, and left.

Drive
The first thing I took in was the pain in my right eye. It wouldn't open, but I expected as much.
I don't know who took me or why. We drove in silence. Looking around the car for an escape, I heard a familiar purr. I had ignored it because... It couldn't be that...
After a bit of looking silently, I spotted that the back window was ever so slightly open. I slowly scooted myself closer, doing my best to not make a sound.
Only my finger could fit through. But that'd be enough - I hoped. I stuck one in & began to use my limited strength to pull the window down. I had already tried to see if there were any buttons or cranks to assist my situation, but they were either taken out or covered up.
I had gotten it down far enough to reach my hand out when the driver finally took notice. I was surprised it took them so long - they were deep in conversation, but surely it couldn't have been that interesting to take as long as they did to notice?
The one in the passenger seat hopped in the back with me as the driver began to pull into what I presumed to be my second & final location. The passenger seat person grabbed me, yanking my hand out of the window, giving it a nasty bruise, before he reached for a cloth I could only assume was doused in chloroform or some other drug to put me out.
But before the cloth could reach me, a loud ear piercing hiiiissssssss came from the dashboard screen.
Both of our heads whipped in the direction of the sudden noise. On screen was - my cat. A virtual pet I've had since I was about 8 - having owned him for coming on 13 years. Taking care of him daily, even in high school when all my friends had long since discarded theirs due to the thought it was embarrassing to spend time with their childhood virtual pets. But I hadn't.
"What the fu-" The driver started, when my cat slashed at the screen. The passenger began to chuckle, before they heard the driver yell in agony. My cat slashed again. And again. Each time the driver screamed, blood began to splatter all over the car, but my cat kept going until their screams stopped.
My cat turned to the passenger. Wiser than their friend, they began to scramble out of the car. But just because they were wiser than their friend, doesn't mean they were at all wise. They had so long to run before my cat had turned his attention to them, but they never moved an inch until now. Too in shock to move I assume.
They had made it out of the car faster than I would've assumed. I watched as they ran, before I looked at the screen. My cat was gone?
Looking through the now open door, I saw the passenger yelp before crumpling to the ground. They hadn't gotten far,
They pulled out their phone, throwing it as far away from them as they could, frantically scooting away from it.
It was quiet for a moment. but that didn't last long. A blue cyan colored claw emerged from the phone. It moved & zapped wildly - it wasn't a large jump to assume it was made of electricity. Then a second came, quickly followed by a third & fourth.
The passenger let out a whimper.
My cats head emerged from the phone, made up from the same cyan electricity as its claws were. He bolted for the passenger.
I closed my eyes while it happened. I had a much better view of the passenger, and I didn't want to see... I didn't want to hear it either, but while I dug my fingers deep into my ears, the screams were still deafening.
After what felt like forever, the screaming stopped. I kept my eyes closed & ears plugged for an extra few seconds to be sure.
Before my was a mangled red mess. I quickly shut my eyes. I know these people were scum - they had kidnapped me. But I still felt sick to my stomach. I knew if I wanted to go home I'd have to open my eyes back up. But for now I tried to calm myself down in the peace of my closed eyes.
I felt a soft fuzzy body rub against my chin, before the phone fell into my lap.
It was time to get going now.
Story I posted on reddit for the prompt: "[WP] You have been kidnapped. The only one to have noticed and is coming to your rescue is the digital pet you've been taking care of since you were a small child."

Chapter One
Chapter Synopsis: This basically plays out like the subway mugging scene in-game, with some changes to fit in with my own mental illness 🫶
It's a chilly evening on the subway, as Penny stands by the doors, nail-polished fingers holding onto the safety pole as she looks at her watch. Her coat pockets jingle with change and crumpled bills from her shift at Bunny's Burgers, all courtesy of her satisfied customers, as she sways backward from the train's speed taking her to her cozy apartment uptown.
'Today was rough', she stares pensively at her boots, sighing as she contemplates her work day with fellow coworker, Mile.
'We were understaffed, a large party came in and occupied 3 booths and a table, and left a mess I cleaned up myself, and Mile was getting yelled at for dropping the cash box while managing the cash register.' Her screen goes dark as she lay deep in her thoughts until she saw out of the corner of her sensor someone moving into a double seat across from her and her pole.
It was a tall, knife-headed man, unfamiliar to her, with a malevolent glint on his blade. Well, she perceived it to be so, considering light can't be malevolent, but does it really matter? He sat next to a man in a denim jacket, covered in what appeared to be mud stains and water, with a foul odor following him, much to Denim Man's slight panic. Penny slowly moved slightly closer and began to eavesdrop ever so cautiously.
"Look, I'll say it again only once", the suspect man sneered, as he pulled what looked like a gun out of his coat pocket. "Hand over the wallet, bozo, and I'll let you off the hook scot-free. If not, your dumb, phone face GETS IT. Deal?"
Shakily, without lifting his head, Denim Man whimpered quietly, “P-please, sir, I don’t have any money, just, just some loose change...” Denim Man was shaking with fear holding an expression of what seemed to be pure dread.
“Well, better than nothing, I guess”, the mugger replied. “Hand it over before I stab you, so help me Phone-God!”
Penny started to feel sick to her stomach, a lump welling in her throat. Surely she couldn’t leave the poor man to get mugged of all he had? She started weighing her options quickly.
The train started to slow, lunging everyone slightly forward, and suddenly, an idea manifested itself. This is her stop. Penny stepped forward slowly, making pace closer to the mugger.
“Leave him alone!”
She heard herself gasping, and immediately covering her mouth in alarm. Why did she say that?! She felt the color drain from her face as the mugger stood up and faced her, towering over her.
“Hey, Sweetcheeks, stay out of this if you don’t wanna see this cuck blown away, y’hear me?”
She stood there, frozen, trembling, forcing herself to respond to the criminal’s threat. “I-if you leave him alone, I’ll, I’ll give you my tip money for the night”, she managed to squeak out, “But leave him alone, o-okay? Surely it’s more than what you’d get out of him.”
The air was still for a brief second, but to everyone involved, it felt like an eternity. The Denim Man looked up at her, in grateful shock, before gesturing for her not to intervene with his bandage-wrapped hands. “Finally, at least I'm getting something out of this,” The Mugger grumbled. Penny rummaged through her bag for a few moments, silently refraining from making eye contact with the bladed robber.
In a split second, she grabbed her pepper spray, undid the cap while still in her bag, and let it rip on the mugger’s face, in a fiery cloud. The mugger immediately folded over in pain, dropping his gun, which revealed an empty cartridge.
“MY EYES! GOD FUCKING DAMMIT, I DON’T EVEN HAVE ANY?!” The Mugger screamed in agony. “YOU’LL PAY FOR THIS, YOU FREAK! I HAVE MOB CONNECTIONS! I’LL FIND YOU AND BANDAGES OVER THERE AND MAKE YOU PAY FOR FORCING ME TO THINK ABOUT THE BIOLOGICAL MYSTERIES OF MY EXISTENCE!"
Penny grabbed Denim Man’s hand and quickly pulled him to the now open-subway doors, and bolted out into the station and onto the streets of Uptown DIaltown. She had never felt so scared before, but at the same time, she was euphoric on the adrenaline rush. She had stopped a man from getting mugged on the subway, almost single-handedly! It may be a good idea to check on him, he seemed very shaken up.
“Oh, my Phone-God, are you okay, dear?!” She worriedly asked, still huffing and heaving from the run. He was sobbing quite loudly, and in quite a messy way, too. Let’s not get into the details of how a phone can cry.
“W-why, why did you do that?!” He finally managed to sputter, in between sobs and heaving, hitching breaths. “You don’t even, even KNOW me! Why would you risk yourself, f-for a schmuck, a bum like ME?!”
She looked at the messy, blubbering wreck in front of her and heaved a heavy sigh. “I... I don't know. I don’t know what came over me. I just, started moving without thinking,” She replied, much to her own surprise. “I think it was instinct. But, anyway, what’s your name?”
“I-it’s Randy, Miss... uh...” He wavered.
“Oh, um, it’s Penny! Penelope Sciarte. Just stick with Penny, okay?” She chuckled awkwardly. “Anyway, what led to you, um, getting on the subway? From the sound of it, you didn’t even have enough to get on in the first place.”
“O-oh, right... I, um, this is going to sound pathetic, I’m sure, but uh...” He muttered while looking down at his bandaged hands. “I got chased down here by swans. I managed to get in through the doors before they closed.”
Penny stopped in concern and slight awe. “A swan would go out of its way to chase you down from the park to the subway?" She added in astonishment. "I knew they were rude but not outright cruel.”
“Well, you really see to the worst side of them when you spend your days trying to wrangle them every day for a pittance.” He sighed and briefly exchanged his final pleasantries with Penny before starting to walk in the opposite direction.
“Wait! Are you sure you’re okay to walk by yourself? Where are you headed, dear?” Penny inquired, attempting to ensure Randy didn’t run into any more trouble.
He hesitated. “Look, thank you for your help back there, but I don’t want to cause you any more trouble. I’m going to my dumpster, it’s really all I have left at this point.” He looked up at her, her screen flickering pensively.
“D-did you say, dumpster?” Her face lit up. “No wonder you looked familiar! You’re the guy who’s been squatting in Bunny’s dumpster for the past few years!”
Randy’s expression became wearier as she mentioned this. “Yeah, that’s me, but you could probably tell simply by the SMELL that follows me everywhere. there’s no point in complaining. If there is a God, he certainly isn’t a merciful one. After all, he created those portents of pure maliciousness that we call SWANS.”
“Well, are you sure you don’t need a place to stay for the night?” She asked, and realized just how much of an idiot she sounded like for inviting a stranger into her house.
“W-well, I know it sounds kind of, um, sudden and odd, but I assure you, it’s much better than staying in a filthy dumpster after such a rough day.” She felt the air coming out of her vents heating up at the thought of a stranger in her home.
“I couldn’t possibly intrude, and you’ve done enough for one night,” He quickly responded as he tried his best to avoid eye contact with her. He sighed and shook his head. "I know how busy things are at Bunny's, the last thing you need is another lousy burden on your shoulders."
She looked him in the eyes.
"Oh, nonsense!" She insisted. "I won't be able to sleep tonight worrying that you're sleeping in that greasy dumpster and I have a very busy shift tomorrow! You'd be doing me a favor by staying in my home, even if it's just for tonight."
She didn't seem to notice while speaking she had cupped his bandaged hands in hers, much to her own surprise. She pulled back nervously.
"Oh, er, sorry." He stood there silently, impressed and slightly intimidated by her.
She took notice of this, and countered, "You don't have to say anything, just nod your head yes or no, dear." He started to tear up again and started shaking his head up and down in agreement.
She took his hand and directed him to follow her down the row of buildings in Uptown Dialtown, as the night brought down a cool chill and lit the light posts. Somehow, somehow, despite this, both felt a warmth inside them, faintly glowing with each step.
